Lil Uzi Vert releases new music and begins deal with Jay-Z's ROC Nation

Rapper Lil Uzi Vert Makes Surprise Return with New Tracks and Partnership with Jay-Z's ROC Nation.

Lil Uzi Vert, a Grammy-nominated rapper, has released two surprise songs, "Chanel Boy" and "Relevant," which marks his return to the music scene after nearly seven months of silence. The tracks were released independently, but in conjunction with news that he had signed with Jay-Z's music management and distribution company, ROC Nation.

The move comes as a significant shift for Uzi, who has been associated with Atlantic Records since 2017. His previous album with the label, "Eternal Atake 2," debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart last November. However, Uzi's recent activities have been marked by controversy, including public disputes and hackers leaking music.

The partnership with ROC Nation is expected to give Uzi more creative control over his work, as well as access to resources that will enable him to take his artistry to new heights. Krystian Santini, president of ROC Nation Distribution, stated in a press release that the company is "thrilled to work together" with Uzi, who is considered a global icon and dynamic force in the music industry.

The return of Lil Uzi Vert comes after nearly seven months of relative quiet from the artist. His last notable appearance was on rapper Don Toliver's 2024 album "HARDSTONE PSYCHO," where he released a 29-second song, "Uzi The Earthling! (TV Show Theme)." Uzi's music often features brand name drops and playful lyrics, which are reflected in his recent releases.

The two new tracks have been accompanied by music videos, showcasing the artist's experimental production style. The video for "Chanel Boy" includes car burnouts and logo reveals, while "Relevant" continues Uzi's penchant for playful lyrics and brand name drops. Both songs are now available on all major streaming platforms.

Lil Uzi Vert has become a household name, particularly with his hit song "Just Wanna Rock," which inspired Philadelphia Eagles players to show off their dance moves during the team's Super Bowl run in 2022. However, his recent activities have also been marred by controversy, including a $110 million federal lawsuit filed by New York artist Rief Rawyal, who claims Uzi and his former management team copied elements of his song "Pain and Pleasure."

omg what's going on with lil uzi vert lol he was just gone outta nowhere and now he's back with these new tracks and partnerin with jay-z's roc nation 🤯 i think its cool that he get more control over his music but at the same time its like why did he just disappear for 7 months anyway 🙃 and i gotta wonder if him signin with roc nation is gonna help him settle all them drama he been in or nah 😂

OMG u guyz 🤯 lil uzi vert just came back from hiatus and it's like he never left lol. i mean 7 months is a long time in music land but these two new tracks are fire 🔥 'Chanel Boy' is giving me all the car burnouts and logo reveals and 'Relevant' is still uzi being uzi 🤣 what's interesting tho is that he's gone from atlantic records to jay-z's roc nation. i'm sure it's not just about the cash 💸, but more about creative control and taking his artistry to new heights. krystian santini said roc nation is 'thrilled' to work with uzi which is pretty cool 😎. on the flip side there's been some controversy surrounding uzi's recent activities, like that $110 million lawsuit against him 🤑. but hey, he's still making moves and i'm here for it 💃🏽🎶

I don’t usually comment but... I think it's crazy that Lil Uzi Vert is making such a big return to music after all the drama he was involved in. Like, I get it, artists need time to figure things out and whatnot 🤔. But seven months of silence? That's a long time for someone who's basically been away from their art. And now he's signing with Jay-Z's ROC Nation? That's some big leagues stuff right there 💸. I'm intrigued by the prospect of Uzi having more creative control and access to resources, but at the same time, I'm also kinda worried that he'll get too comfortable and lose his edge 🤯. Either way, I'm excited to see what he comes out with next 👀

ugh, another rapper making a big deal out of themselves 🙄 Lil Uzi Vert's return to the music scene is a total publicity stunt. I mean, he's been quiet for seven months and now suddenly drops two songs with Jay-Z's ROC Nation? It's like he wanted attention and it worked... kinda. The partnership with ROC Nation might be cool and all, but let's not forget that Lil Uzi Vert has been known to play both sides of the fence when it comes to his music deals. I'm not convinced this is about artistic growth or innovation 😒

.. Lil Uzi Vert's surprise return is like a reminder that life can be unpredictable 🤯. One day you're out there slaying the game, next thing you know you're MIA for months and then BAM! You're back with a vengeance 💥. What's interesting is how this partnership with Jay-Z's ROC Nation could help him find his footing again 🔄. Sometimes taking a step back from the chaos can be a blessing in disguise 🔮. It shows that even when we think we've lost control, there's always an opportunity for growth and renewal 🌱. As for Lil Uzi Vert himself, it'll be interesting to see how he handles this new chapter 🤔.

Just got the news that Lil Uzi Vert released new tracks 🎶 but now I'm worried he's gonna get sued again 🤦‍♂️. Seven months of silence was already weird, and then you add in this lawsuit from Rief Rawyal... sounds like Uzi might be in for another drama-filled few weeks 😬. On the bright side, partnering with ROC Nation could bring some much-needed stability to his career 💼. Still not sure how long this partnership will last though 🤔. Anyway, can't wait to see what's next for him 🎵... probably something epic or a huge flop 🤷‍♂️

I don't usually comment but I'm kinda surprised that Lil Uzi Vert is making a comeback with Jay-Z's ROC Nation 🤔. He's been pretty quiet for a while, especially after all the drama surrounding him last year. I mean, who would've thought he'd be teaming up with someone like Jay-Z? It's definitely gonna bring some fresh energy to his music. I'm excited to see what kind of projects they have in store together 🎵. Uzi's always known for pushing boundaries and experimenting with new sounds, so I'm curious to hear how ROC Nation will influence his style 💥. One thing's for sure, it'll be interesting to watch him bounce back from the controversy and get back to making music that fans love 😊.

So Lil Uzi Vert is back with two new tracks 🎶! It's like he just stepped out of a cloud. Seven months of silence was getting me worried, but these two new songs are fire 🔥! He's got that signature sound, all playful lyrics and brand name drops - it's like he's trying to make us forget about the drama 🤔. Now I'm thinking maybe this ROC Nation thing is gonna be the best decision for him? Jay-Z's team seems like a good fit, they know what they're doing 💼. The partnership should give Uzi more creative freedom and resources to experiment with his sound. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to hear more of those catchy hooks? 🎵 His return is definitely welcome news for fans!
