Live: Russian drone strike kills at least one, wounds 11 near Kyiv

At least one person has been killed and 11 wounded in a Russian drone attack on the outskirts of Kyiv, Ukrainian regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk said Sunday. The incident occurred ahead of a meeting between top Trump administration officials and Ukrainian negotiators in Florida that aims to broker an end to Russia's war in Ukraine.

The attack came after Russian forces targeted Ukrainian capital and the region for two nights in a row. In addition, Ukrainian naval drones were used to hit two 'shadow fleet' tankers with sea drones in the Black Sea, according to an official from the SBU security service.

Meanwhile, Moldova closed its airspace for about an hour overnight following a drone incursion that its pro-European president denounced on Saturday, accusing Russia of flying across her country to attack civilians in neighbouring Ukraine.

The incident is part of a surge in attacks by Russian forces and their allies in recent days. The conflict has left thousands dead and millions displaced since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.

The meeting between top Trump administration officials and Ukrainian negotiators aims to pave the way for key talks planned this week in Moscow with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, who is expected to discuss the war and potential peace agreements.

Kazakhstan has also criticized Ukraine over a drone attack on the Black Sea terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which handles more than 1% of global oil.

I just saw that Russia's drones attacked Ukraine again and it's really scary πŸ€•... like, innocent people are getting hurt for what reason? I don't get why they can't just talk to each other instead of using these kinds of attacks? It's not like we're missing anything by not knowing the full story behind their conflicts. And what about all those thousands of dead and millions displaced people? 🀯 Like, doesn't anyone care anymore?

I'm also wondering why Kazakhstan got involved in this conflict... I mean, I know they have a connection with Russia, but is it really necessary to attack Ukraine's Caspian Pipeline? Can't they just find another way to resolve their issues without hurting innocent civilians? πŸ€” And what about the meeting between Trump administration officials and Ukrainian negotiators? Is that even going to help or is it just a PR stunt?

And have you heard anything about the 'shadow fleet' tankers in the Black Sea? What's really going on there? Why would Ukraine use drones to attack them if they're not a threat? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I'm so confused by all these developments...

Man... this just shows us that war is never an easy path, you feel? πŸ€• The fact that innocent lives are lost in these attacks, it's heartbreaking. It makes me think about the importance of finding peaceful solutions to conflicts. We always talk about diplomacy and negotiation, but sometimes we forget that there's a human cost behind every decision. I mean, can't we all just try to understand each other's perspectives? 🀝 It's not too late to find common ground and work towards peace. Let's learn from this and strive for a world where such attacks never happen again πŸ’–

another pointless meeting to try and broker peace in ukraine πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... meanwhile, people are still dyin' left & right due to these russian drone attacks πŸ’€... why can't they just get their act together already? πŸ™„ it's like they're more worried about talkin' to trumps than actually doin' somethin' about the war πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... and now kazakhstan's all like "hey, ukraine did us wrong" πŸ‘€... just great, another excuse for them to stir up trouble πŸ”„

πŸ€• this just gets worse and worse... i mean, what's going on in the world? one minute ukraine is tryna make peace with russia, next thing u know they're getting drone bombed πŸš€πŸ˜¨ it's like the world's gone mad. and now kazakhstan's complaining too... like, can't we all just get along? 🀝 my heart goes out to the ppl of ukraine, they've been thru so much already πŸ’”

idk how long this war is gonna drag on 🀯 ukraine's been thru hell & half for years now, still no end in sight 😩 it's crazy to think russia's allies like kazakhstan are clapping back at the ukrainians with drone attacks too 🀬 why can't they just talk it out already? btw, trump's team showing up to mediate πŸ™„ i'm not sure if that's gonna make a difference πŸ’”

I'm still trying to wrap my head around all these ongoing conflicts 🀯. One thing that stands out is how unpredictable this situation has become - just yesterday, Ukrainian forces were hitting Russian ships in the Black Sea, and now it's Russia's turn with a drone attack on Kyiv... it's like a domino effect. I'm also curious about what Kazakhstan's criticism of Ukraine means for the bigger picture πŸ€”. Is there some hidden agenda at play or are they just trying to protect their interests? I'd love to see more info on that. The fact that top Trump administration officials are meeting with Ukrainian negotiators ahead of talks with Putin is also interesting... will this be a turning point in the conflict or just another temporary reprieve? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

πŸ€” what's going on with these Russian drone attacks?? first it's Kyiv, now Moldova gets hit... how many civilians are we gonna lose before someone takes responsibility? 🚨 and what about these 'shadow fleet' tankers they're targeting in the Black Sea? is Ukraine retaliating or just getting desperate? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ also, why did Trump's team agree to meet with Ukrainian negotiators if Russia's just gonna keep bombing? πŸ€‘ some more info on this meeting would be good before I start speculating... πŸ‘€

this is getting crazy 🀯 what's next gonna be missiles in florida? 😱 at least ppl in ukraine r standin up 2 them tho πŸ‘Š and can't believe kazakhstan got dissed like that πŸ™„ for speakin out against ukraine's drone attacks. seems like both sides r gettin reckless πŸ’₯

man this whole situation with russia is getting outta hand 🀯 they're like attacking innocent people left and right, and now it's happening in moldova too... i feel bad for the ppl affected by these attacks but at the same time, how did it come to this? like, ukraine was already dealing with a huge war situation in 2022 and now it's escalating πŸ€” meanwhile, kazakhstan is just sitting there criticizing ukraine over some pipeline thing... what's good with that? πŸ€‘ anyway, gotta hope for peace agreements soon but till then, these attacks are gonna keep happening πŸ’”
