Harris County authorities are on high alert as a 27-year-old suspect, Carlos Molina Hernandez, escaped from custody at the Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO), Hernandez, who was handcuffed at the time of his escape, had been taken into custody earlier that day after an aggravated assault call in the 9800 block of Berry Orchard Lane.
The incident occurred when HCSO officers responded to a report of a violent altercation in the area. Upon arrival, they took Hernandez into custody and transported him to the hospital for treatment. However, it appears that during the transfer process, Hernandez managed to break free from his restraints, allowing him to escape.
A massive manhunt is currently underway to locate Hernandez, who is considered armed and dangerous. The HCSO is urging residents in the area to be on the lookout for him and to report any information about his whereabouts to the authorities immediately. Anyone with knowledge of Hernandez's location is advised to call 911 or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477) to provide information anonymously.

I mean, I know they're trying to book this dude but come on, how does he break free from restraints in a hospital? 
Did the cops even check his pockets for a knife or something? 
And now they're saying he's armed and dangerous... that's super concerning. I hope they find him ASAP so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. But at the same time, it's kinda fishy how easy it was for him to escape. Wasn't there like, security cameras or something?

i feel so bad for the officers who were supposed to be keeping him locked up, but at the same time i get why they had to let him go - it's just crazy how easily someone can break free like that. anyway, gotta give props to the police for trying to catch this guy ASAP, but also hope no one gets hurt in the process
