idk about this new tax on mansions ... like, isn't that just gonna push all the rich people into london or something? and what's up with the milkshake tax lol? anyway, sounds like they're trying tho . hope it helps families with lots of kids, gotta feel bad for those struggling. but at the same time, feels like it's only a tiny drop in the bucket for poverty and stuff .
u know i was thinking about my aunts financial situation recently she got divorced like 5 yrs ago and still struggling to make ends meet on her own so its kinda cool that there is a new tax being introduced on properties over Β£1 million i mean its not like shes rolling in cash or anything but its better than nothing lol
and yeah its good news about the welfare cap being lifted i know my friend has 3 kids and theyre always stressing about the cost of living so this could really make a difference for people like them
but at the same time i feel like its just a small step in the right direction u know? we need more than just a few tweaks to the budget to fix our country's problems what do u think tho
I feel like the government is trying to help people out with the new tax overhaul and welfare cap changes, but at the same time, there are still so many who are struggling to make ends meet . It's hard to tell if these changes will really make a difference or just be another small step in the right direction . I'm worried about those people who will be affected by the new tax on luxury goods, they might not be able to afford even the basics . On the other hand, lifting the two-child welfare cap is definitely something that could bring relief to many families . Let's hope the government's budget will lead to real change and not just more of the same .
Love it!! This budget is like a fresh start for the country! I'm super excited about the mansion tax, it's about time those with extra cash pay their fair share . The lift on the two-child welfare cap is also amazing news for families, let's get more support for them . And yay for more investment in education and childcare! Our kids deserve the best, right? I'm definitely feeling optimistic about this budget, it's a step in the right direction . Can't wait to see how it all plays out .
Love the effort from Starmer's gov ! The mansion tax is a great idea, can't have everyone living like royalty on our dime . But, I think lifting the two-child welfare cap is a massive win for families . It's about time we started addressing poverty and inequality in this country . Investing in education and childcare will definitely help working parents, but it's not a silver bullet . Let's see how this budget plays out over the next few months and years . Great to see some progress, even if there's still more work to be done
Ugh, think they're just gonna nick a bit more cash from rich people and expect that's gonna magically solve poverty? Like, what about addressing the root cause of inequality instead of just band-aiding it with a few token gestures ? And don't even get me started on the mansion tax - who gets to decide which houses are worth more than others, anyway? It's all so... superficial. We need real systemic change, not just some cosmetic tweaks to make people feel better about themselves
