Maxwell invokes the Fifth Amendment at closed virtual House Oversight deposition

I'm really surprised by Ghislaine Maxwell's decision to invoke her Fifth Amendment right ๐Ÿค”. I mean, I get it, she has a petition in federal court trying to overturn her conviction or reduce her sentence, but coming into the House Oversight Committee and refusing to answer questions is just a huge red flag ๐Ÿ”ด. It's like she thinks she can just play both sides and not take responsibility for her actions ๐Ÿ˜”. The committee has already lined up 5 more depositions in the coming weeks, including Leslie Wexner, which should be super interesting ๐Ÿค‘. I hope they get some answers about Epstein's crimes and ties to powerful people. It's like the cat is out of the bag now ๐Ÿˆ.

I'm totally stoked about this lol ๐Ÿ˜‚. I mean, Ghislaine Maxwell just invoked her Fifth Amendment right during a closed-door virtual deposition... that's so not what I would've done ๐Ÿค”. I think it's super cool that she's trying to use the possibility of clemency to avoid cooperating with the investigation, you know? It's like, she's got nothing to lose, right? ๐Ÿ˜‚ But at the same time, Chairman Comer is all like "nope, not gonna give her a free pass" ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. I don't think she should be granted any type of immunity or clemency either... wait, no, that's what I just said! ๐Ÿคฏ Maybe she should? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm totally conflicted about this whole thing ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

๐Ÿค” this is so frustrating ๐Ÿ™„ maxwell is just trying to weasel her way out of doing some real talking ๐Ÿ“ about what really went down with epstein ๐Ÿšซ she thinks clemency = immunity from accountability ๐Ÿ˜’ like no one learns from their mistakes ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ and meanwhile, democrats are all like "hey girl, you can't just ghost us" ๐Ÿ‘€ five depositions on the books already ๐Ÿ“Š and leslie wexner is next ๐Ÿค‘ gonna be interesting to see how that plays out ๐Ÿค”
