it's super sad to see affordable housing bills fall short in NYC 
they're literally trying to protect ppl from losing their homes and now it looks like thousands of apartments are gonna be lost... I get why the real estate interests are opposed but c'mon, don't we need a balance between profit and people? 
the gov's gotta step up here... what's the alternative gonna be? just letting gentrification run wild in our communities?
