omg I'm so mad that it took the NYC Mayor to step up and admit his role in the warming bus debacle 
... like what kind of mayor forgets that people are literally dying on the streets? 
anyway, i'm glad Norman Siegel is speaking out about the importance of clear signage and awareness campaigns - those 17 deaths shouldn't have happened 
. i'm all for the city deploying more warming buses, but we need to make sure they're visible and accessible to everyone

I'm super disappointed that it took a tragedy for NYC Mayor Mamdani to acknowledge the problem with warming buses. Those poor people on the streets need our help, and we should've been doing more to let them know about these safe spaces. 
It's crazy that there was no clear signage at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal – how were they supposed to find it? 
I'm glad Norman Siegel is stepping in and advocating for change. We need more people like him who care about making a difference! 
Let's hope those warming buses become a regular part of our city's response to homelessness.

I remember when I was a kid, you could just walk into a shelter or something and get help, no questions asked 
. Now it feels like they're hiding under a rock or something 
️. Like, come on, NYC! You've got 20 warming buses set up and people are still wandering around freezing their butts off? 
It's just not right.
. I mean, it's not like they're asking for much – clear signage, some visibility... that's not too much to ask 
. It's just a shame that it took 17 deaths to get people to take notice
