I'm telling you, something fishy is going on here. First, McNeil gets this injury and suddenly the Mets start thinking about trading him? That's like saying "oh, poor guy's hurt" just to get rid of him. And now they're worried that the surgery might make it harder for them to trade him? Come on, folks! It's like they want us to think he's not worth keeping around.And what about that $15.75 million salary? That's a whole lot of cash for one guy. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the club option and everything to do with McNeil being a "problem player".
I mean, who needs a guy like that on their team, right? It's all just a cover-up for something bigger...
. mcneil's injury is like a wild card - you never know what's gonna happen. $15.75 million is a lot, so if he can't play, that club option for next year kinda matters... but at the same time, they need him to contribute, right? 
The fact that he's got a decent-sized contract to consider makes it even more complicated. Do you think the Mets will try to hold onto McNeil or would they be better off moving him? 
I mean, if he can't stay healthy, it's tough for them to justify keeping him around...
