Minnesota’s 2025 domestic abuse homicide victims honored

I'm so sorry to hear about all these Minnesotans who lost their lives to domestic violence 🤕. It's crazy that 31 people died last year alone! That's like, a whole lot of love and light being extinguished in an instant 😔. But you know what really gets me is how we're still not talking enough about emotional abuse 🙅‍♀️. I mean, Sam Nordquist's story is a total wake-up call - his sister said he wasn't just a statistic, but someone who was loved and laughed with every day ❤️.

And can we talk about how vulnerable people are targeted? 💔 It's like, we need to listen to them more, believe them more, and intervene earlier before it's too late 🚨. We need to change the narrative from "it's not happening in my community" to "we're all in this together" 🌎.

I'm also so glad that there are organizations like Violence Free Minnesota working tirelessly to create awareness, education, and support for those who need it 💪. It's time we take our gut feelings seriously and pay attention to the signs of abuse 🔍. We can't just sit back and say "it's not my problem" - every single one of us needs to do something to make a difference 🙏.

🙏 it's crazy how these events can hit so close to home & make u think about the tiny, hidden warning signs that are there 4 those who r vulnerable 💔 Sam's story is a huge one, but what I find really remarkable is that his family's reaction is still raw with grief yet they're using their pain 2 create something beautiful - the Stand w/ Sam scholarship fund 🎉 it just goes 2 show us that even in tragedy, there can b a way 2 turn that pain into purpose 💖

🤬 This is so bloody heartbreaking 🤕. Thirty-one lives lost to domestic violence in Minnesotaaaa... how many more are we gonna lose? 💔 The statistics might not tell the whole story, but Sam's story is a hard-hitting reminder that emotional abuse can be just as deadly as physical one. We need to wake up and take action 🚨! Education, support, and believing victims matter, not just saying "oh, it's so important" 💁‍♀️. Let's get our gut feeling right for once and stop ignoring the signs of abuse 👀💔.
