Morgan Wallen's latest album 'I'm the Problem' has reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, a feat previously achieved by only one other act - South Korean boy band Stray Kids. The country superstar traded places with Taylor Swift's blockbuster album 'The Life of a Showgirl', which had been ruling the top spot for most of the previous weeks.
In its first week of availability, 'I'm the Problem' earned around 85,200 equivalent units, a significant increase of nearly 23% from the previous period. In contrast, 'The Life of a Showgirl' managed around 72,400 equivalent units, a decline of almost 11% from the previous frame.
Wallen's album dominates three out of four Billboard rankings, including Top Streaming Albums and Top Country Albums charts, where it takes up first place. However, it has slipped to number 34 on the Top Album Sales list, 10 spaces behind 'The Life of a Showgirl', which is still in the top two spots across all four charts.
This achievement marks Wallen's second consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, following Stray Kids' initial feat. The South Korean boy band had previously debuted its 'Do It' EP at number one and again scored a second champion with 'Karma' in early September.
