‘Mortal Kombat II’ Star Ludi Lin Joins ‘Comedy InvAsian III’ Cast (EXCLUSIVE)

Ludi Lin Joins Comedy InvAsian III Cast for Season 3 Premiere

Actor Ludi Lin, known for his role as Liu Kang in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Mortal Kombat II', has joined the cast of 'Comedy InvAsian III', a new season of the popular Asian American AAPI stand-up comedy showcase. The third installment will air on Peacock, Tubi, and Amazon Prime following its premiere on HBO.

The season promises to deliver an exciting lineup of comedians who have made a name for themselves in the industry. Juno Men, Erik Escobar, Trevor Jang, Michelle MaliZaki, Shivaan Nadan, Kitty Pine, and Vanja Renee will take the stage alongside Lin to showcase their unique perspectives.

'Comedy InvAsian III' comes from creators-showrunners Koji Steven Sakai of Little Nalu Pictures, executive producer Victor Elizalde of Viva Pictures, and creator-showrunner Quentin Lee of Margin Films. The series has previously premiered on Hulu as a exclusive show before moving to Peacock, Tubi, and Amazon Prime.

Elizalde praises 'Comedy InvAsian' as "a cultural platform and discovery engine" that has helped launch the television careers of several AAPI comics like Atsuko Okatsuka, Joey Guila, Robin Tran, and Jiaoying Summers. The new lineup aims to continue this mission by featuring an extraordinary group of diverse talent.

"We are thrilled to have assembled such a powerhouse of diverse talent for Season 3," Sakai said in an interview. "Seeing alumni like Atsuko Okatsuka and Robin Tran reach such heights proves how vital this platform is." He also added that the new group brings fresh perspectives and is ready to follow in those footsteps, making 'Comedy InvAsian' a must-watch.

The series will premiere on May 2026, coinciding with AAPI Heritage Month and strategic timing for Emmy FYC consideration for outstanding variety series. The Season 3 cast was assembled to deliver laughter and representation for the Asian American community.

I'm so stoked about Ludi Lin joining the cast of Comedy InvAsian III 🤩🎉! It's amazing to see more talented artists like him sharing their humor with us. I love how the show is all about giving a platform for AAPI comedians to shine 💫. It's super important to have more diverse voices and perspectives represented in media, especially when it comes to comedy 🤣. And I'm hyped that Season 3 will premiere during AAPI Heritage Month - it's going to be such an exciting time for the community 🎉! I've been a fan of shows like this for ages, and I know how much love and laughter they bring to people's lives ❤️. Bring on May 2026 and get ready for some serious LOLs 😂👏

I'm so over this platform and how they're trying to sell us on every little thing 🤣. First, it's Ludi Lin joining Comedy InvAsian III, like who cares? I mean, I guess he's cool or whatever. But honestly, can we just get back to the comedy itself? The cast is diverse and all that jazz, but what's the real reason behind this lineup? Is it just to tick off those diversity boxes or what? 🤔 And don't even get me started on how they're trying to position this as a "cultural platform" 🙄. Like, please. It's just a bunch of comedians being funny for our entertainment. Can we just keep it real here? 😂

Man, I'm so down for this new season of Comedy InvAsian III 🤣! It's like how my favorite show, Friends, used to bring everyone together back in the day... you know, back when it was a thing? Anyway, having Ludi Lin join the cast is lit 🔥! He's gonna be awesome alongside Juno Men and Erik Escobar. I'm also loving that they're showcasing fresh perspectives from diverse talent – reminds me of how great it was when TV shows like Mad About You brought representation on the small screen... those were the days, though 😊. Can't wait for Season 3 to premiere in May '26 – it's gonna be a wild ride! 🎉

Like, can't you just be excited without the obligatory corporate speak? 🙄 Anyway, I guess it's awesome that Ludi Lin is on board with Comedy InvAsian III - he does seem like a talented guy. The cast for Season 3 looks pretty stacked too, but let's be real, it's all about the laughs and representation, right? 🤷‍♀️ And hey, AAPI Heritage Month is in May now, so we get to enjoy some much-needed Asian American comedy before the rest of the world wakes up. 🎉
