Another satellite launched, but our planet's still in a mess... Meanwhile, GLOBE Land Cover program just announced that they'll be comparing citizen scientists' land cover data with satellite assessments 
. Sounds cool, I guess, but what about the actual problems we're facing? Climate change is getting worse, and NASA's focus on space-based observations is just a drop in the ocean 
. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great that they're trying to engage more people with Earth observation, but when are they gonna tackle the real issues? 
Anyway, I guess this new program will be fun for some people, especially kids who want to learn about space exploration...
