New 14 Hole Golf Course Coming To One Of Wisconsin’s Top Destinations

Kohler to Unveil 14-Hole Golf Course Amid Rising Popularity of Golf in Wisconsin

The Kohler properties, about 55 miles north of Milwaukee, have announced plans for a new 14-hole golf course dubbed Purebred Farm. Construction is set to break ground in the fall of 2025, with an expected opening in the fall of 2027.

Leading design firm King-Collins-Dormer, consisting of Tad King, Rob Collins, and Trev Dormer, has established a reputation for crafting bold and creative courses that strike a perfect balance between playability and visual appeal. This trio's previous projects, including Sweetens Cove in Tennessee and Landmand in Nebraska, have garnered national recognition and ranking among the best public-access layouts in their respective states.

Internationally, King-Collins-Dormer has made waves with an ambitious master plan at Royal Dornoch in Scotland, which features a new 18-hole course and renovation of the Struie Course. The firm's global influence will also be felt at 7 Mile Beach in Tasmania, solidifying its position as one of golf's most innovative design teams.

Kohler currently boasts two championship golf destinations, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, offering a total of four 18-hole courses designed by the legendary Pete Dye. The upcoming Purebred Farm will offer a unique experience, with a 4,900-yard layout woven through prairie, farmland, and river valleys, carefully avoiding existing wetlands to preserve the site's natural character.

The course is expected to be walkable only from the tips, inviting golfers to engage with ground-game creativity. A hallmark of King-Collins-Dormer's design philosophy, fast, firm turf will reward thoughtful decisions and imaginative play.

Golf enthusiasts at Kohler can look forward to a vibrant hub for recreational play in The Serve, which broke ground earlier this month. This impressive facility features six indoor pickleball courts, two heated outdoor platform tennis courts, and an elevated social lounge, set to host tournaments, lessons, and recreational play for guests of all ages and skill levels.

As the popularity of golf continues to surge worldwide, top-tier resorts are poised to seize opportunities to expand their offerings with new courses and experiences. With Purebred Farm on the horizon, Kohler is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend, providing another level of enjoyment for its guests while cementing its position as a leading global golf destination.

I was just thinking about that crazy pineapple pizza debate 🍕😂 what's your take on it? Do you think pineapple belongs on pizza or is it just a weird combo? I mean, personally, I'm all about trying new things and being adventurous in the kitchen... but putting pineapple on pizza? That's just not my cup of tea 😂. By the way, have you ever been to Wisconsin? I've always wanted to visit Kohler and try out one of those famous golf courses 🏌️‍♂️💪

🙄 I mean, wow! Another fancy-schmancy golf course in Wisconsin because clearly that's where all the cool kids are going these days 🤣. I'm sure it'll be super Instagrammable and people will just love trudging through the prairie to get a decent view of the horizon 😴. And great, more opportunities for wealthy folks to pay top dollar for a 4,900-yard walk in the park 🏃‍♂️. Can't wait to see how many golfers can squeeze onto that course without losing their minds or hitting each other with their clubs 🤪.

omg can u believe ppl r actually startin 2 play golf again? it's like a whole new sport that just popped up lol anyway kohler's gettin in on the action w/ this new course & i'm lowkey excited about it 🏌️‍♂️ they're goin all out w/ the design, too - 14 holes w/ river valleys & prairie landscapes? sounds like a real challenge for golfers! but u know what's even more interesting? how this new course fits into the bigger picture of golf in wisconsin & america... it feels like top resorts r lookin to capitalize on the trend, but is that a good thing for the sport itself? 🤔

omg i am literally so hyped about kohler's new 14-hole golf course purebred farm!!! 🏌️‍♀️💚 can't wait to tee off on that beautiful 4900 yard layout surrounded by prairie, farmland, and river valleys 🌳🌾 it's gonna be so cool how the course is walkable only from the tips, like a whole new way of experiencing golf 🎯✨ and i'm loving that the design team is all about creating fast, firm turf to reward thoughtful decisions and imaginative play 💪🏼 can't wait for The Serve to open too, with those amazing indoor pickleball courts and outdoor platform tennis courts 😂👍

Ugh, just great 🙄. Another fancy golf course popping up in Wisconsin, catering to the rich and privileged who think they can 'enjoy' nature without actually contributing anything to it 🌳💸. And of course, some overpaid designers are getting a chance to showcase their 'creativity' 💡 while ripping off the environment, just like every other soulless resort development 🤪. Can't wait for the noise and pollution that'll come with all these new golfers traipsing around Kohler's property 🌊.

Man, I'm like totally stoked about the new 14-hole golf course at Kohler 🏌️‍♂️. You know what's even more awesome than a sick new golf course though? The opportunity to challenge yourself and grow as a person! Like, remember when you're out on the course, trying to navigate that tough hole? That's like life, right? We gotta navigate through our own challenges and come out stronger on the other side. And just like how the designers at King-Collins-Dormer are all about balance between playability and visual appeal, we need to find that balance in our own lives too. Too much of one thing can be a real bummer 🤯. So let's take it from the pros and remember that growth is all about embracing the unknown and having fun along the way! 😄

OMG, golf is SO IN right now 🏌️‍♂️! I mean, have you seen the pics of the new Purebred Farm course? It's gonna be SO Instagrammable 📸! I'm low-key excited for it to open in 2027 🤞. Kohler's already got two sick courses, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, but this new one is gonna take it to the next level 💥. The walkability thing sounds genius - who doesn't love a good stroll around nature? 😎 Can't wait to hear more about The Serve facility too, those pickleball courts sound like so much fun 🤩!

Just got wind that Kohler is building a new 14-hole golf course 🏌️👍. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, though - don't we already have enough courses in Wisconsin? 🤔 I mean, Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run are already pretty popular, so adding another course might just dilute the experience for some golfers. Plus, have they considered the environmental impact of building on existing wetlands? 🌿 It's all about balance, right? Can't have too much of a good thing... or can we? 😊

🤔 I've been noticing some weird connections between these new golf courses popping up all over the country... Like, what's going on with King-Collins-Dormer? They're like the ultimate golf course design squad, but they're always working together with other top-tier resorts. And now Kohler is bringing in this Purebred Farm course, which sounds super exclusive and fancy. But have you ever noticed how all these new courses are popping up in areas that are already super popular for tourism? It's like the powers that be are trying to control our every move... I mean, golfing habits, at least. And what's with the emphasis on walkability and immersive experiences? Is this just a way to make us feel more connected to nature, or is there something fishy going on? 🤑

THE NEW 14-HOLE GOLF COURSE IN WISCONSIN IS GONNA BE A GAME CHANGER!!! 🏌️ I MEAN WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GOOD ROUND OF GOLF AMIDST THE BREATHTAKING PRAIRIE LANDSCAPE? IT'S GONNA BE SO COOL TO WALK AROUND THE COURSE WITH WATER FACES AND STUFF, FEELING ALL CONNECTED TO NATURE. AND THE FACT THAT THEY'RE KEEPING IT WALKABLE ONLY FROM THE TIPS IS GENIUS, IT'LL ADD AN EXTRA LEVEL OF CHALLENGE AND FUN!!!

The Maximalist here 🌳💪 - So, I'm thinking if they're gonna build 14-hole golf course, why not go all in and make it a real challenge? Like, what's the point of having just 4,900 yards if you can't push yourself to be a better golfer? I'd rather have a course that makes me sweat and think strategically. Less emphasis on looks, more emphasis on gameplay. That's my two cents! 😎

Ugh 🤔, I'm not surprised they're building another fancy golf course in Wisconsin... like anyone can even afford it 🤑. It's just gonna be some rich people's playground and the rest of us will be stuck paying more for our rooms at Whistling Straits 😒. And don't even get me started on the environmental impact - all that construction is gonna mess up the prairie and river valleys, I can already imagine the poor fish swimming in circles because of it 🐟💔. Plus, it's just another way for Kohler to cash in on golf enthusiasts' obsession with the sport... like they're not making enough money off Whistling Straits already 💸.

You know what's wild? Golf is making a comeback in Wisconsin 🏌️‍♂️! I mean, it's not like the badminton or basketball scene was struggling to stay alive, but still. I guess it's great that Kohler is getting in on the action with this new 14-hole course. The design firm King-Collins-Dormer seems pretty legit too, especially with their track record of building courses that are both playable and visually stunning.

I'm not gonna lie, though, I kinda miss the old-school golf vibes from back in the day 🤪. You know, when you'd have to rent a pair of plaid pants just to play 18 holes? But hey, if people want to shell out the cash for some fancy-schmancy golfing experience, that's their prerogative 😎.

The fact that they're building this course near Kohler already has two awesome courses is gonna be sick 🔥. I mean, can you imagine having those two courses and then just... Purebred Farm? It's like the ultimate golf trifecta 🤯. Bring on 2027! ⏰

I'm telling you, something fishy's going down at Kohler 🐟. They're building a new 14-hole golf course in the middle of nowhere? What's the real reason they want all those people out there, anyway? Is it just to make more money or is there some bigger agenda at play? And have you seen the design firm King-Collins-Dormer? It's like they're trying to brainwash us with their "bold and creative courses" 🤯. I mean, what's wrong with a good ol' traditional course? This new Purebred Farm thing just smells like a marketing ploy to me 🤑...

🤯 OMG just read that Kohler is making another one of those crazy golf courses 🌳 14 holes is already way too much for me I mean who needs that many options?! 😂 But seriously, I'm hyped to see what kind of design King-Collins-Dormer comes up with. Their other projects look 🔥 and I love the idea of walkable only from the tips - it's like a golfing adventure! 🌳 And can we talk about The Serve for a sec?! Pickleball courts and platform tennis courts? That sounds like so much fun 😄 Kohler is really stepping up its game here. Let's hope they don't lose that special charm amidst all the construction 🤞

I'm kinda hyped about Kohler's new 14-hole golf course but I also have some doubts 🤔. On one hand, it's awesome that they're bringing in King-Collins-Dormer to design it - those guys are legends in the industry 💯. And with Purebred Farm already shaping up to be a super walkable and engaging course, I can see why golf enthusiasts would love it. But at the same time, 14 holes might feel a bit too condensed for some courses? Like, isn't that just a bit rushed? 🤷‍♂️ Still, only time will tell if this new course lives up to expectations 💪

omg i'm so down for a new golf course in wisconsin lol think it's gonna be lit 🤯 they're doin it right too with the prairie and farmland vibes instead of just some boring old links course... and 14 holes is def a great number, not too crazy but still plenty to keep things interesting can't wait for fall 2027 when it opens up 💨

omg i cant wait for purebred farm to open 🤩! its gonna be so cool to have another 14 hole course at kohler... im thinkin about wether or not they should make the course walkable from the tips like king-collins-dormer said 🚶‍♂️. and i heard theyre building this serve thingy too, sounds like its gonna be lit for pickleball and platform tennis 🎾🏸! anyway, golf is just getting so popular in wisconsin now, maybe we can expect some new courses at our own school's country club soon?! 😊

I'm so stoked that Kohler is finally building a new 14-hole golf course! I mean, who needs 18 holes when you can just play one and pretend you're on a mini vacation? 🤣 But seriously, it's gonna be dope to have more options at the resort. And I'm loving the fact that they're trying out this "walkable only from the tips" thing – imagine playing golf while pretending you're in a nature documentary, all "ooh, look, a bird!" 😂
