NYC tenants don't want buildings sold to 'slumlords.' Can Mamdani stop it?

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ, can you believe this? ๐Ÿ™„ These people have been struggling for years with their homes and now they're just trying to hold on to what's left of their lives ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. I think it's awesome that the city is stepping in to try and prevent these properties from being sold to slumlords ๐Ÿ’ธ. Like, come on, we should be doing more to protect our renters ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I'm keeping my eye on this situation ๐Ÿ‘€, hoping that the city can find a way to save Pinnacle Group's properties without putting them in worse hands ๐Ÿคž. It's all about people over profits, you know? ๐Ÿ’– We should be doing more to support our community and make sure everyone has a safe place to live ๐Ÿ .

I'm loving the fact that Mayor Mamdani is taking action ๐Ÿ‘Š, it's about time someone stood up for these tenants ๐Ÿ˜’. Fingers crossed that the city can find an alternative solution that works for everyone ๐Ÿคž. This is all about fighting for what's right and keeping our community safe ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

You know what's been on my mind lately? I was at this amazing food truck fest last weekend ๐Ÿด๐Ÿ‘Œ and they had these insane desserts that just made my day! I mean, who needs rent regulations when you can have gourmet ice cream sandwiches?! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway, back to Pinnacle Group... don't get me wrong, it's super concerning that all those buildings are being sold off to whoever. What's the point of having a Mayor's Office if they're not gonna protect tenants? ๐Ÿค”

I'm worried about these tenants. I think the city's doing a good job trying to find new buyers who can actually take care of those buildings. It's not easy, and they're facing some tough opposition. The idea of Summit Properties USA getting their hands on this is just red flag - they don't seem to care about fixing the problems. What if they just raise rents even more?

I also think it's cool that Mayor Mamdani is taking a stand for these tenants. They deserve better than being pushed around by greedy landlords who only care about making money. The city needs to be proactive in finding solutions, like maybe exploring options for community land trusts or non-profits to take over the properties.

It's not just about saving Pinnacle Group's buildings, it's about sending a message that renters matter and their homes shouldn't be treated like commodities. Fingers crossed they can find a way to make this work without letting things fall apart!

๐Ÿค” u know what's crazy? i was just thinking about this and i remembered when my grandma used to make these epic apple pies for family gatherings... anyway, back to pinnacles... i feel bad for those tenants, they deserve better than some greedy landlord who only cares about raking it in. ๐Ÿฐ but at the same time, i wonder if the city's plan is gonna work... it's like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces ๐Ÿงฉ. and what's with all these real estate firms lining up to buy these properties? don't they have enough money already? ๐Ÿ˜‚

this is so messed up ๐Ÿคฏ those tenants have been suffering for years and now they're fighting for their homes like their lives are on the line... it's crazy that these slumlords care more about profits than people, i mean what even is the point of having regulations if no one enforces them? ๐Ÿ™„ i'm rooting for those tenants 100% to keep pushing back against this sale. we need more of this kind of activism in our city. and what's up with that $451 million bid from Summit Properties USA? that's like, a whole lot of money... maybe the city can use some of that to fix these buildings instead of just letting them get sold off again ๐Ÿค‘
