Police are searching for three suspects in connection with separate subway assaults that took place over the holiday weekend in Brooklyn and Queens.
A 35-year-old man was pushed onto the tracks at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park early Sunday morning. The victim, who sustained minor injuries, did not know the attacker and had no prior altercation with them before the incident. A description of the assailant is still unknown.
On Monday afternoon, a 16-year-old boy was attacked at the Seneca Avenue station in Ridgewood. According to authorities, another male individual started arguing with him before slashing the teen in the back of his head and fleeing the scene. The motive behind the dispute remains unclear.
In another incident that occurred on Sunday evening, a man approached an MTA employee on the 7 train platform at the 74th Street-Broadway station in Jackson Heights. When asked if he knew the victim, the attacker punched him in the face before running away. The MTA worker sustained dizziness, pain, and swelling in his face and nose but was treated in stable condition.
