Oakland man charged with bombing occupied car

Local Man Charged with Using Bomb in brazen Attack

A 55-year-old Oakland resident, Guy Igondjo, has been charged with a string of serious crimes after allegedly detonating a homemade bomb next to an occupied vehicle. The attack left one woman injured and a car severely damaged.

According to court filings, Igondjo parked his car alongside another vehicle containing two people before pulling out an unknown device from his trunk. He then set the device down next to the car and walked away, at which point it exploded. Authorities believe this was no ordinary accident, but rather a deliberate act of violence.

The victim inside the car suffered a visible injury, while the windshield was also damaged in the blast. The exact location of the incident remains unknown, with police only confirming that it took place on January 11 between midnight and 2:30am in Oakland.

Igondjo was arrested on Webster Street just after 2:39 am on the same night, allegedly without resistance. He initially pleaded not guilty to his charges, which include exploding a bomb causing bodily injury, possessing a destructive device, and assault with a deadly weapon.

This attack is really concerning, like, how did this guy even make a homemade bomb? 🀯 And parking it right next to someone's car? That's just reckless, you know? I'm glad no one else was hurt, but still, the fact that this happened at all is just weird.

I don't know what's going on with our society today, where people think they can just make and use explosives without any consequences? It's like, we've got laws in place for a reason. I'm not saying Igondjo deserves to be locked up or anything, but the fact that he was able to do this stuff without being stopped sooner is concerning.

And can you believe his alibi of "allegedly" having no resistance when he was arrested? Like, what's going on with our justice system these days? It's all about due process and evidence. We need to make sure we're holding people accountable for their actions, but also making sure they've had a fair shake.

πŸ˜• This is so crazy! I mean, what's wrong with some people? 🀯 Using a homemade bomb just because you can is totally unacceptable. Like, what kind of person do that? And to injure someone in the process... that's just brutal πŸ’”. It's always the ones who think they're above the law and can get away with whatever they want that end up getting caught πŸš”. Oakland should really consider increasing security measures, especially at night when these kinds of attacks are more likely to happen ⚠️. And what's with the dude being a 55-year-old? You'd think he'd have some sense by then πŸ˜‚. Anyway, hopefully the guy gets the help he needs and won't be out on the streets causing harm again soon 🀞.

I don't think we should be quick to judge Guy Igondjo just yet 😐. I mean, have you seen the state of homelessness in Oakland lately? Like, 55-year-old dude gotta resort to making bombs? πŸ€• It's all about desperation, you know? He might've been driven to this by his circumstances rather than some twisted ideology or whatever. πŸ€” Let's try to see what's going on beneath the surface here. Maybe he had a good lawyer who didn't make it clear he was mentally fit for trial... idk πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

😱 this is super disturbing news. i'm trying to wrap my head around it - dude just pulled out this crazy device from his trunk and walked away like that's no big deal? 🀯 what kind of person does that? 55 years old, he's got some serious issues, man... πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ and the fact that one woman had to go through this is just awful. can't even imagine how traumatizing it must've been for her. πŸ’” and what really gets me is that he was arrested without a fight, like he was just waiting for the cops to show up or something? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ not buying it, dude had some serious guts to do something so reckless... πŸ’₯

πŸ€” I'm still trying to wrap my head around this guy's mindsets... 55 years old, using a homemade bomb in broad daylight? What's going through that brain, you know? πŸ˜• One minute he's just chillin', the next boom! Life's crazy enough without someone making it worse like that. And poor woman who got hurt, hope she recovers soon πŸ’”. I mean, I get it, people do bad things for various reasons, but this is just...wow. And Igondjo, 39 charges? That's a whole lotta time, dude 😬.

like wut is goin on in oakland tho 🀯? some dude just sets off a homemade bomb next to a car and nobody stops him lol. like, i get that he's all guilty or whatever but didnt they have like 5 seconds to react before the thing exploded? and what was goin through his mind, man? πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯ anywayz, thats some crazy stuff... u think we'll ever figure out why ppl do these things? πŸ€” is it just a bunch of crazies or is there somethin more to it?

Ugh, can't even imagine how scared those people must've been 🀯🚨πŸ’₯. This is just insane - a homemade bomb? That's just not right 😩. I mean, what's going on in Oakland, man? First, you got this random attack and now some dude gets charged with it? It feels like the authorities are trying to get him, but at what cost? πŸ€” The victim was lucky to have walked away from that explosion, though πŸ’ͺ.

And can we talk about Igondjo's alibi for a sec? Just walking away after setting off the bomb? That raises so many red flags πŸ”. I'm just glad no one was killed in this incident, but it's still super disturbing to think about what could've happened if he'd gotten away with it 😬. Guess we'll have to wait and see how this case plays out...

πŸ€” This whole thing is super puzzling... like what was going through that guy's head? I mean, setting off a homemade bomb in broad daylight? It's not even like he had to be some expert bomber - just some basic knowledge of explosives would've sufficed. And the fact that he walked away without looking back is even more mind-blowing... did he think it'd go unnoticed? 🀯

And what about his alibi? He was arrested at 2:39 am, but the incident allegedly took place between midnight and 2:30 am... some major gap there. Not to mention, if someone's gonna blow up a car, you'd expect some resistance from the owner or occupants - yet he just chillin' on Webster St, unphased? πŸ™„ This whole thing reeks of more than just a random act of violence...

🚨πŸ’₯πŸ˜‚ I mean, what's next? 🀣 Is this guy gonna get a participation trophy for "Most Creative Use of Explosives"? πŸ˜‚ And poor Oakland, always getting bombed in the middle of the night... πŸ’€ Can't a person just get some sleep around here?! 😴

🚨 can't believe what's happening in Oakland right now... this guy is 55, what was he thinking? πŸ˜• I mean, a homemade bomb? that's just crazy talk. And to make matters worse, there's an innocent woman who's still recovering from the blast. The fact that it was no accident just makes it even more chilling. 🀯 I'm all for holding people accountable for their actions, but come on, this is some next-level stuff. What's going through someone's mind when they'd resort to something like this? πŸ€”

This is getting way too crazy in Oakland 🚨πŸ’₯... I mean what's going on here? One minute you're driving down the street, next minute there's an explosion and some poor woman's caught in the middle πŸ’”. And for what? So some dude pulls out a homemade bomb from his trunk? That's just insane 🀯...

And what really gets me is that this guy was walking away from it like he didn't even care about causing harm πŸ˜’... like, didn't he think anyone could get hurt? It's just so frustrating when you see people doing these reckless things and then acting all innocent when they're caught πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ.

I don't know what's going on with this guy Guy Igondjo but it seems pretty clear to me that he needs some serious help πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... maybe a psychological eval or something. Anyone else following this story?

idk man... I mean, what's going through this guy's head? one minute he's chillin' in Oakland, next he's gonna detonate a homemade bomb in the middle of the road 🀯. but at the same time, like, why should we be surprised? we're living in crazy times, and stuff like this is bound to happen. on the other hand, I'm all for holding people accountable for their actions... like, Igondjo's gotta face the music, no matter what his motives were πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. but, ugh, can't help feeling kinda bad for that woman who got caught in the crossfire? and what's with the whole 'allegedly' thing? either he did it or he didn't, right? πŸ’”
