... now we know they exist and its crazy how it changed our perspective on space & time 
. Laser interferometry is genius - I mean who comes up with this stuff? 
It's like water waves, as Dr Troche said, but instead of a pond, we're talking about the entire universe! 
And yeah, scientists have detected hundreds of black hole mergers over the past decade, that's mind-blowing. Now they need our help to analyze data & spot glitches - cool initiative for volunteers

They've basically confirmed Einstein's theory and now we can detect all sorts of crazy cosmic events like black hole mergers. The laser interferometry tech is genius, I mean who would've thought you could measure ripples in space-time using mirrors and light? 
It's mind-blowing to think about how this technology has opened up new avenues for astrophysics research. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

And its not just LIGO tho, theres other observatories like VIRGO & KAGRA working together to push the boundaries of research. Its so cool to think about all the new things we can learn from the universe

. i'm hyped to see what other discoveries await us
