Opinion: ‘Until we meet again, brave little cat.’ The heartbreak and taboo of burying our pets | CNN

I think its amazing how our perception of death has changed over time, especially when it comes to animals 🐾💔. I mean, we used to just dump them in rivers or sell them for meat, which is pretty messed up 🤢. But now, people want to give their pets a proper burial or cremation, with graves and epitaphs that show they're still family members 💕. It's like our relationships with animals have become more important than ever before.

But what I find really interesting is how the cost of these services can be a barrier for some pet owners 🤑. €200 might not be too much for some, but for others, it could be a stretch. That's why cremation or scattering ashes in special places are still great options 🌳.

I also love how the similarities between modern and historic pet cemeteries show that we've come a long way in accepting our emotions 😊. It's all about finding ways to process grief and honor those we've lost, whether it's human or animal 💔. And I think public pet cemeteries like Barcelona's new facility are helping to make that happen 🌸.

awww i love that they're making it easier for us to say goodbye to our fur babies 💔🐾 barcelona's new pet cemetery is such a beautiful thing 🌼💕 it's amazing how far we've come in accepting that our pets are part of our families and deserve some serious love & respect 🤗 especially those charities like the blue cross and rainbow bridge pet loss grief center - they're doing such important work 💖

This is just another example of how the system wants us to feel more emotional and attached to our pets so we'll buy more services 🤑🐶 I mean, think about it, €200 per service? That's a lot of cash! They're basically profiting off people's grief. And have you seen those "loving friends" or "devoted companions" epitaphs on historical gravestones? That's just a way to guilt trip us into spending more money on their pet cemeteries. The real question is, what's the true motive behind this trend? Is it really about providing a space for people to grieve, or is it just another way to cash in on our feelings? 🤔👀
