I'm so concerned about what's going on here
... I mean, I get that "60 Minutes" is a news program and they gotta cover all sides, but c'mon, Marjorie Taylor Greene? She's like a ticking time bomb of misinformation
. I'm not saying the network owes anyone an explanation, but seriously, have you seen some of the crazy stuff she's said about Democrats and Muslims? It's just basic human decency to call out hate speech when you hear it
.
And let's be real, this isn't even a new thing for her. She's been spouting conspiracy theories since like forever
. I mean, I get that she has a right to her opinions, but when you're on national TV and using those views to stir up hate and division, something's gotta give
.
Now, I'm all about free speech and open debate, but this is different. This is not a respectful or civil discussion - it's an insult
. And what's even more annoying is that some of the other "experts" on TV are just as bad or worse
.
I think we need to be having a bigger conversation about media responsibility and holding our journalists accountable for the content they put out
. I mean, if you're gonna give airtime to Marjorie Taylor Greene, at least make it clear that she's promoting extremist views, right? It's just basic journalistic ethics
.
Anyway, I think CBS needs to take a hard look at themselves and ask why they decided to do this
. Maybe it was ratings, maybe it was something else entirely... but whatever the reason, let's just say it didn't sit well with me
.
