I'm low-key worried about how these licensing deals are gonna affect creators. I mean, think about it - when you're scraping millions of images from Getty, where does that leave the original owners? It's like, yeah, we get to use your art, but what about the people who actually made it?
And can we talk about the fact that stable diffusion got sued for processing protected images without permission? I feel like Perplexity is just gonna follow in those footsteps. What's gonna stop them from just using whatever they want and not giving anyone credit?

. I mean, integrating Getty's massive library is a huge step in the right direction, but it's still super concerning that they're relying on someone else's content to save their own bacon

and i'm kinda surprised they didn't do this sooner? like, have you seen some of the stuff being generated by AI lately? it's getting pretty wild and crazy 
. but at the same time, i get where they're coming from - accuracy and attribution are key when it comes to using images and content online.
