Local Coffee Shop Pot Heads Expands to Jenkintown with Unique Vibe
When it comes to grabbing a cup of coffee, Bucks County locals know that Pot Heads is more than just a morning pick-me-up - it's an immersive experience. The coffee shop, known for its skeleton decor, has been a staple in Bensalem since 2021. However, the brainchild behind Pot Heads is about to branch out with its second location in Jenkintown.
For co-owner Faith Noga, the inspiration behind her beloved coffee shop stems from a rather unexpected source: her late daughter Mila. The young girl had an imaginary friend named Blah, a skeleton who would pop out of corners and exclaim "blah!" to scare her. This memory sparked Noga's idea for a unique coffee shop that pays tribute to Mila's quirky personality.
Noga's vision was not just about creating a coffee shop but also about sharing the story of her daughter's life with the community. The Bensalem location features crystals and metaphysical touches, as well as specialty drinks inspired by Mila's favorite stories. One such drink is made from her own recipe for a banana chocolate chip muffin.
The new Jenkintown location will retain some of the eccentric vibe that has captured the hearts of local coffee lovers but with a "girly side" twist. Noga plans to incorporate crystals and other metaphysical elements, setting it apart from its Bensalem counterpart. Despite the changes, fans of Pot Heads can expect a mix of bar and couch seating, as well as familiar touches.
While the new location is still in the works, one thing's for sure: Mila's spirit will be alive and well at Pot Heads Jenkintown. Noga hopes to open the doors in early December, inviting customers to experience her coffee shop's unique blend of whimsy and warmth.
