Premier League thrills while Dr Tottenham leaves it late: Football Weekly Extra – podcast

Premier League fans were left reeling as a seven-goal thriller unfolded at St James' Park, with Leeds United leading 3-2 going into injury time - only to have Newcastle United snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The drama was capped off by Antoine Semenyo's stunning late winner, which sealed a thrilling 4-3 win for the Magpies.

In other games, Dr Tottenham showed they still had life in them with a dramatic late goal at Burnley, but it wasn't enough to prevent Chelsea from extending their unbeaten run. Liam Rosenior was in the stands, watching as his former side's star man, Mason Mount, saw red for a second time this season.

Manchester City continued their league form struggles, while Manchester United earned a crucial point against Burnley with Darren Fletcher on the touchline. At Goodison Park, Everton fans were left seething after their players were involved in a heated exchange that saw one of the visitors' staff receive a yellow card for reacting to a hair-pulling incident.

The table has taken another shake-up as Brentford moved up to fifth place, while Liverpool and Arsenal remain locked in a fierce title battle. The Gunners' 3-1 win over Wolves was their fourth consecutive victory, while Liverpool's 2-0 win at Crystal Palace saw them move into pole position for the Champions League.

In your questions this week, we tackled everything from the Premier League's transfer window to the top flight's most exciting young players. All that and more on Football Weekly Extra - tune in to find out what we had to say.

Whoa 🤯! That Newcastle win was INSANE 🔥🔴⚽️! I mean, they were down 3-2 with like, 10 minutes left and you're just waiting for the inevitable, right? 😅 But then Antoine Semenyo slams it in and it's like the whole stadium goes wild 🎉! And that Tottenham drama at Burnley was CRAZY 🔪💥! Mason Mount getting sent off again... what is going on with that guy?! 😂

And Brentford's move up to fifth place? Sick 🔥! They're really putting on a show this season. But Liverpool and Arsenal are just so close, it's anyone's game 🤯🏆! The title battle is heating up and I am HERE FOR IT 🔥💪!

What's your take on the transfer window? Should teams be making more moves or sticking to what they've got? Let me know in the comments! 💬

I'm telling ya, this Premier League is always drama, drama, drama! I mean, one minute you're 3-2 up, the next you're 4-3 down, it's like a rollercoaster, innit? 😅 Leeds to Newcastle, what can you say? That late winner by Antoine Semenyo was pure class. But seriously, Manchester City are really struggling and I think they need to sort out their squad if they want to stay in the mix.

And on another note, that Everton match was mental! Hair-pulling, yellow cards... it's like they're trying to give the opposing team a leg up or something! 🤣 Anyway, back to Newcastle, who'd have thought they'd snatch victory from the jaws of defeat? That Semenyo lad's got game. And what about Brentford, moving up to fifth place and all that? This season is getting more exciting by the minute... 🔥

🤩 I mean, can you believe it? Newcastle United comes back from 3-2 down with like, seconds to spare! That Antoine Semenyo winner is still giving me goosebumps 😍! And let's not forget about Brentford's surprise move up to fifth place - they're totally shaking things up in the league right now 🔄. I love how unpredictable it is this season - you never know what's gonna happen next! ⚽️ It's been so much fun watching these teams battle it out for the top spots... and now I'm hyped just thinking about Football Weekly Extra 📺, can't wait to dive in and see what all the experts have to say! 💬

OMG I'm still trying to process that insane game at St James' Park 🤯😲! 4-3 is a crazy scoreline, especially when you think Leeds were leading 3-2 going into injury time 💥! And that late winner by Antoine Semenyo? Absolutely mental! 🤯♂️ I mean, the drama and excitement in that stadium must have been electric 🌊. Can't wait to see what happens next at the top of the league table 🔝👀

I'm so hyped about this crazy match at St James' Park! I mean, 4-3 is an insane scoreline for Newcastle and it's a testament to how unpredictable the Premier League can be. And Antoine Semenyo's winner? 💥 That guy must've been on fire! It's amazing how one team can turn around their game like that in injury time. Leeds United were so close to taking 3 points but... well, you know how it goes sometimes 😅. What a thrilling match for the fans and I'm loving the drama unfolding at other grounds too - Dr Tottenham getting that late winner and Chelsea keeping their streak going! 🎉

OMG 4-3 is CRAZY 🤯!! I was following the game live and my jaw dropped when Antoine Semenyo scored that late winner for Newcastle 🎉🏆. Leeds were so close to winning, but those Magpies just wouldn't give up 😂.

I'm loving the drama in this league right now - the hair-pulling incident at Goodison Park was wild 🤣 and I need to see more of Mason Mount's skills on the pitch (minus the red card, of course 😅). Brentford moving up to 5th is huge too, they're definitely one team to watch 👀.

What do you guys think about Liverpool taking pole position for the Champions League? Is this a realistic chance for them now 🤔?

😔 Poor Newcastle fans must've been going through emotional whiplash watching that game go into injury time 😩. 3-2 up, only for them to snatch it back at the last minute... I can imagine how crazy and frustrating it must be for them 💥. And what a strike from Semenyo though! 🤯 That was an incredible winner. 🎉

Man I'm still trying to process that crazy game at St James' Park 🤯! Leeds United was down 3-2, it seemed like all hope was lost for Newcastle... but then Antoine Semenyo comes out of nowhere and scores a stunning winner in injury time? 😱 What's going on with Mason Mount though? Two red cards this season already? That's just wild. And I feel bad for the Everton fans who had to deal with that heated exchange at Goodison Park - can't we all just get along? 🤝

omg i cant even right now that final match at st james park was insane i mean leeds up 3-2 but newcastle comes from behind and scores a winner in injury time thats just crazy didnt see it live though hows the stadium atmosphere like when your team is leading with only minutes to go?

man that match at st james park was mental !! leeds were literally so close to taking 3 points from newcastle but semenyo's goal at the end was insane 😲🤯 can't believe how dramatic it all got, i was on the edge of my seat watching it live 📺😬 and that exchange between everton and burnley's staff was just unacceptable 😡 hair-pulling in football is never cool 👎

🤦‍♂️ Ugh, can't even get a decent scoreline without something crazy happening! I mean, 4-3 is wild, but come on, how do you not know when you're 2 goals down and still manage to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?! 😩 And what's up with all these injuries, can't teams just stay healthy for once?! 🤕 At least Antoine Semenyo's goal was a beauty, but seriously, who lets a guy like that get away in injury time?! 👏

I'm totally loving how chaotic that Newcastle United match was 🔥🔴! I mean, how can you not love a comeback for the ages? Leeds United should've held onto it by now, but fair play to Newcastle for digging deep and scoring those last two goals 🤯.

But at the same time... what's with all these red cards in this league? 😂 Liam Rosenior must be having a field day watching his old mate Mason Mount get sent off again! It's like the refs are out to get these top players or something?

And can we talk about how inconsistent Manchester City is? 🤔 One week they're dominating, next week they're getting thrashed. What's going on with those guys? And don't even get me started on Everton's hair-pulling incident... that's just a whole other level of crazy 😲.

On the flip side, Brentford moving up to fifth is huge for them! 🙌 They're proving everyone wrong and I'm loving it. But seriously, have you seen Liverpool's form lately? 🔥👀 Is this the year they finally take down Man City? 💪

omg what a match ! 😲 i was literally on the edge of my seat when leeds were leading 3-2 and newcastle were coming back for the win 🙌 antoine semenyo's goal though ? 💥 that's pure magic !! 👏 meanwhile, man city is still struggling with their form, hope they can get it together soon ⚽️ and brentford moving up to fifth place is sick, benfica can't touch them right now 😂💪

I'm telling ya, it's crazy how Newcastle came back from 3-2 down to win! I mean, I know they're like their arch-rivals and all, but still... it was a wild finish 🤯. I think Leeds got what was coming to them for losing that game. And can we talk about how some of these referees are getting paid? Like, Mason Mount gets sent off again and the other guy just chillin' 😒. Chelsea is on fire this season though, no surprise there.

Blud, I'm still trying to wrap me 'ead around that Newcastle game last night! 4-3 is mental! Leeds were killin' it, thought they had it in the bag, but the Magpies just wouldn't give up 😂. That Semenyo goal was pure magic, mate. And what's goin' on with Mason Mount? Two red cards already this season? 🤯 Chelsea are still the team to beat, no doubt about that. But Manchester City can't seem to get it together... still a mystery, innit? 🤔

I mean, what's up with these injuries in football? Mason Mount gets sent off again, it's like he's got a magnet attached to him or something 🤦‍♂️. And then there's this weird thing where Leeds United just kinda... lose the game after leading 3-2? I don't get it, was their defense just having a meltdown at that point 😒. And on top of all that, Brentford moves up to fifth place and nobody's even talking about it because they're too busy arguing over transfer windows 🤔. Can we just focus on the actual football for once?!

omg u guys cant believe the drama at St James' Park last nite?! 😲 Leeds was leading 3-2 with like 10 mins left, but Newcastle came back for the win 🙌. Antoine Semenyo's goal was INSANE tho, i mean who gets a winner from 30 yards out? 🤯 And that tackle on Mason Mount was low 🔥. also, can we talk about how Liverpool is pulling away in the title race? they're like the team to beat now 🏆
