Premiere: Netflix’s New True Crime Doc Dives Into a Mother’s Mysterious Disappearance

A Mysterious Disappearance Sparks True Crime Drama on Netflix.

The story of Nathan Carman, a young man who survived a harrowing boat accident off the New England coast, has taken a dark and intriguing turn. In 2016, Carman was rescued from a life raft by a freighter, sparking an investigation into what happened to his mother, Linda, who was never found.

Carman's grandfather, Linda's father, had been murdered several years prior, and the family's vast estate was at stake. As investigators pieced together the events surrounding Carman's rescue, suspicions arose that he might have fabricated a story. Carman had autism spectrum disorder, which some argued made him more susceptible to misinterpretation.

However, months later, in 2022, Carman was charged with killing his mother in an alleged attempt to inherit her family's vast fortune. The charges sparked widespread media attention and public fascination with the case.

Now, Netflix has released a true crime documentary, "The Carman Family Deaths," which delves into the mystery surrounding Nathan Carman's story. Directed by Yon Motskin and produced by Rachel Grady, Heidi Ewing, Mary-Jane Mitchell, and WIRED Studios, the documentary explores the twists and turns of this complex case.

With its intricate plot and surprising revelations, "The Carman Family Deaths" promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Will Nathan Carman's story be vindicated, or will it prove to be a tragic tale of deceit and betrayal?

I'm low-key fascinated by this true crime drama 🤔 - it's like, who would've thought that a guy's life raft rescue could lead to his own family being involved in some crazy murder stuff? 🚣‍♂️ The more I think about it, the more I'm reminded of those old-school detective shows from the 80s and 90s, you know, like "Columbo" or "Murder, She Wrote"... they always had that same vibe of intrigue and mystery. But at the same time, I gotta give it to the filmmakers for digging deep into this case - it's not just some sensationalized true crime story, it's a real-life drama with real people involved... 🤕

🤔 This dude is like, totally unhinged if you ask me 😱. I mean, from surviving that boat accident to allegedly killing his own mom for the inheritance? What was he even thinking?! 🙄 The fact that he's got autism spectrum disorder, people are gonna say it made him more prone to misunderstanding, but what about all the other factors at play here? His family's reputation, the pressure, the greed... it's a whole web of complex stuff 🌐. I'm gonna be on the edge of my seat watching this doco, for sure! 👀

I'm totally hooked on this true crime docu! It's crazy how one guy's survival story turned into a murder investigation I mean, imagine being in the middle of something so traumatic and having your whole life scrutinized afterwards. The fact that Nathan Carman had autism adds another layer to the mystery - you can't help but wonder if his condition played a role in what happened. And now there's this new docu on Netflix that's gonna take us even deeper into the case...

🤔 I mean, you gotta wonder how far someone can go before they get caught in their own web of lies. The thing that really gets me is how quickly people turn on each other when there's money involved. Like, Nathan Carman's got a good story going, and then all these questions start popping up about his mom's disappearance... 🚣‍♂️ It's crazy to think he might've been able to get away with it for so long. And now, this documentary comes along and I'm hooked - gotta know what really happened. The more I think about it, the more I'm like, "wait a minute"... 💭

OMG 🤯 I'm so hooked on this true crime drama already! The thought of someone with autism being accused of such a heinous crime is just mind-blowing 😲. I mean, can you blame Nathan for wanting that inheritance? His family's wealth would've changed his life forever 💸. But at the same time, killing your mom? That's just...wow 🙅‍♂️. The documentary better bring some solid evidence or I'm outta here 👀. Can't wait to see if they can prove or disprove Nathan's involvement 🤔.

idk what's more sus the fact that his mom went missin or that he's gettin charged with killin her lol 🤯♂️ isnt it weird how ppl are treatin him like hes some kinda sociopath just bc he has autism tho autistic people can def fake a story and have motivations beyond just inheritin money 🤑 i mean nathan's case is pretty wild already but this doco better be good or ill be all like "no thanks" 😒

🤯 I'm hooked from the get-go! Who knew a guy's rescue could lead to a murder trial? The more I read about this case, the more intrigued I am. Can't wait to see how the doco unfolds 📺
