Qatar in talks with Fifa to host first Women's Club World Cup in January 2028

I'm so down for more women's football tournaments 🤩, but at the same time, I think Qatar might be a huge risk as a host... wait, no, actually, that's not true. If they're hosting it, they must have improved their LGBTQ+ stance and female football support, right? Uh, wrong again! I mean, what about all those countries in Europe that'll get disrupted by the tournament? That's gotta be balanced against getting more women's football action worldwide... unless we should just let Qatar do its thing and worry about it later? 🤷‍♂️

I don't think Qatar is the right choice for this... I mean, let's be real, they're not exactly known for being super welcoming to everyone 🤔. And what about the whole LGBTQ+ thing? It's just a huge red flag for me. Plus, have you seen how they treat migrant workers there? Not cool at all 😕. Can't we find someone else who's more inclusive and actually cares about promoting women's football? I mean, Saudi Arabia is also in the mix but I don't trust them as much either... 🤷‍♀️ What if this tournament ends up being a total disaster for women's football worldwide? That would be so disappointing 😞. Can we please just wait until there are more countries that have passed the equality test before hosting something like this?

I'm so done with this 🤯 Qatar hosting the Women's Club World Cup again! Like, can't they see how their human rights record is a total red flag? I mean, I get it, women's football is awesome and all, but come on, FIFA, do better than that 🙄. And what's up with Saudi Arabia trying to swoop in too? At least Qatar has the warm winter climate and stadiums, but honestly, who cares about that when we have more important issues to worry about? The real question is, how are women going to be treated during this tournament? Will they be able to express themselves without fear of persecution? It's just not fair 🤷‍♀️. And can't we talk about the logistics too? Four-year cycle for the tournament? That's just gonna mess up all our schedules and whatnot 🕒️. I'm all for women's football, but let's prioritize human rights here 👥

🤔 I'm all for more female football action on the global stage, but Qatar's involvement in hosting this Women's Club World Cup has me worried 🚨. I mean, they've been super open about their LGBTQ+ restrictions and it just feels like a step back for women's rights 🙅‍♀️. And have you seen how little focus they put on developing female football in the country? It's like, we get one tournament, but what about the long-term investment? 💸 The concerns around fixture congestion in Europe also make me wonder if this is just another way to cram more games into an already busy schedule ⏰. Can't we have a tournament that prioritizes equality and fair play over profits? 🤷‍♀️

Qatar hosting Women's Club World Cup? What a joke 🤣...I mean, great for football, but not so much on human rights 👎. Can't FIFA think of anyone else to host this one? 😒

Ugh 🤯, I don't know how they can be serious about hosting this thing in Qatar 🇶🇦... I mean, I get that it'll bring some money and attention to women's football, but come on 🙄, the country's got a pretty checkered past when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights. And have you seen their treatment of migrant workers? Not exactly the most progressive vibe, if you ask me 😐.

And then there's the whole thing about women's football development... I mean, Qatar hasn't exactly been a leader in that department, if you know what I mean 🤷‍♂️. It's like they're trying to cash in on this whole "sports tourism" thing without really putting in the work to make it meaningful.

I'm not sure I buy all the hype around this tournament... I mean, it'll be a nice gesture and all that, but let's not pretend like Qatar is some kind of model for women's sports just yet 🙅‍♂️. We need to see some real commitment to change before we start celebrating.
