I don't get how they got away with just 1 year of probation? Like, seems pretty serious to me... they were trying to scare people from voting and now they're walking free after a year? That's kinda messed up 
I'm also curious what made them decide to plead no contest instead of going to trial? Were the prosecutors offering some kind of deal that they couldn't pass up? And btw, $1.25 million in fines for civil action is still a lot of money... how do these guys afford it anyway?
