Samsung’s Midrange OLED Got Under My Cinephile Skin

Samsung's Midrange OLED TV Left a Lasting Impression on This Cinephile.

While the latest OLED TVs have been leaving me awestruck with their brightness and color accuracy, Samsung's mid-range QD-OLED TV didn't quite knock my socks off at first glance. I was not immediately impressed by its visuals, especially when compared to some of the best OLEDs ever made this cycle. However, upon closer inspection and extensive testing, I found that the S90F still has a lot going for it.

One area where the S90F excels is in its contrast and black levels - rivaling even the most high-end OLED TVs I've tested. It's like watching a dark scene from Disney's "Skeleton Crew" with incredible depth and dimensionality, thanks to Samsung's superior QD-OLED technology. Additionally, this TV boasts stunning off-axis accuracy, ensuring that colors and brightness remain consistent whether you're sitting directly in front of or slightly off to the side.

While not as bright as some LED TVs, the S90F still packs a punch with over 1,000 nits peak brightness. This means it can easily handle even the most demanding Blu-ray titles without looking washed out or underwhelming. And when it comes to processing power, Samsung has done an impressive job in bringing clarity and realism to every minor detail.

The real standout feature of the S90F is its cinematic touch - thanks to high-end processing that delivers fabulous detail and colors that pop without ever appearing overcooked. Nature documentaries like Netflix's "Our Planet" are especially breathtaking on this TV, drawing you into the vibrant chaos of a coral reef or mangrove forest with ease.

The S90F may not offer the same level of premium punch as Samsung's flagship OLED TVs, but it still holds its own against some of the best QLED and LED sets available. If budget is your top concern, this TV is definitely worth considering - especially if you're already invested in the Samsung ecosystem or looking for an upgrade from a lower-end OLED.

As prices continue to drop in 2026, I'm confident that the S90F will only become more compelling. So, even though it may not have wowed me right away, this mid-range OLED TV has won my heart with its accuracy and quality - making it an excellent choice for those looking to elevate their home viewing experience without breaking the bank.

I gotta say, I was pretty underwhelmed by some of Samsung's flagship OLEDs recently 🤔... but the S90F has got some serious cred. That contrast and black level game is on point 👍! Watching a dark scene from "Skeleton Crew" was like stepping into another world - so immersive and detailed. And off-axis accuracy? Game-changer for me when I'm sitting at an angle 📺. Plus, 1,000 nits peak brightness is no joke, handling those heavy Blu-ray scenes with ease 💪. And have you seen how it handles nature docs like "Our Planet" on Netflix? Mind. Blown 🌿

I gotta say, I was really surprised by Samsung's QD-OLED tech 🤯! Their midrange model, S90F, might not be as flashy as some of the high-end OLEDs out there, but it seriously delivers in terms of contrast and black levels 👀. It's like having a private screening experience at home, especially with those stunning off-axis accuracy and cinematic touch 🎥. I mean, have you seen nature docs on Netflix? The S90F brings that to life in the most amazing way! 😍 And yeah, it might not be as bright as some LED TVs, but 1,000 nits is still a solid peak brightness for me 💡. All in all, if budget is your thing, this TV is def worth checking out - especially if you're already part of the Samsung fam 👫!

I gotta say, I'm loving the S90F's contrast levels 🤩! Like, I was watching a dark scene from The Matrix the other day and the blacks were so deep, it felt like I was right in the middle of Neo's fight against Agent Smith 😎. And the colors? Whoa! They popped on my screen like never before 🌈. But you know what surprised me? How well it handled HDR content 🔥 - it was like watching a 4K movie at home without any issues. I'm also loving how affordable it is for what you get, especially if you're already invested in the Samsung ecosystem 💸. I mean, sure, some of the top-end OLED TVs are insane, but if budget is your thing, this TV is definitely worth considering 🤔.

I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised by all the hype around these QD-OLED TVs... don't get me wrong, they're still super impressive, but have we been sold on brightness being the ultimate measure of a TV's greatness? Like, I get that 1,000 nits is a big deal, but what about those moments where you just wanna zone out in a dark room and let the visuals do their thing? For me, it's all about immersion and atmosphere, not just sheer brightness. The S90F might not be breaking new ground in terms of peak brightness, but its contrast and black levels are seriously on point. And hey, if budget is your top concern, this TV is definitely worth considering...

omg i'm so down for a midrange tv that can give flagship ones a run for their money 😂 just got a new one myself and im loving how much better the picture looks than my old one, especially on nature docs like "our planet" 🌴 it's crazy how much of a difference qd-oled makes, so much more contrast and depth than any oled or qled i've used before 💥

🤷‍♀️ I mean, who needs brightness when you can have perfect blacks and contrast like a dark room on a cloudy day? 🌫️ The S90F is definitely a solid mid-range option if you're not looking to splurge on that fancy flagship OLED... 😏

I gotta say, I'm loving the S90F's visuals 🤩! The contrast and black levels are insane, it's like a whole new world of darkness and depth. But, I do wish it was brighter, 1,000 nits is decent but not exactly OLED territory. Still, it handles Blu-rays like a champ, no washed out colors for me!

And, oh man, that processing power! It brings the details to life in a way that's hard to match. Nature docs on Netflix are basically transported into your living room 🌳🏞️. I can see why this TV won over some cinephiles, it's definitely got the cinematic touch thing down.

But, like with any mid-range TV, there's always gonna be some trade-offs, right? If you're set on Samsung, though, and want a solid upgrade from OLED, this might just do the trick. Just keep an eye out for prices in 2026, I think it'll become even more of a steal then 🤑

I was like "meh" about the new Samsung QD-OLED TV at first, but then I watched some nature documentaries on Netflix's "Our Planet" on it 🌿👀 and man, that color accuracy is insane! It's like being right there in the middle of a coral reef or something. And don't even get me started on the contrast - it's like watching a movie in the dark without any distractions. I was also impressed with how well it handled those fast-paced action scenes from Marvel movies 🎥. For the price, I think it's a solid choice if you're looking for a great home theater experience. Plus, it's already getting cheaper as the year goes on 🤑.

Samsung's QD-OLED game is on point 🤩! Contrast and black levels are insane, perfect for dark scenes 👀. Off-axis accuracy is also a major win, no more washed out colors 🌈. Not as bright as some LEDs, but still packs a punch ⚡️. Worth considering if you're on a budget 💸, especially if you're already in the Samsung ecosystem 📺.

omg i'm so down for a QD-OLED upgrade 🤩 like the contrast on this tv is insane!!! i've seen some dark scenes that literally made me feel like i was in the movie 😲 and yeah off-axis accuracy is everything especially with nature docs like "our planet" it's like you're right there in the middle of the coral reef 🌴 i know it might not be as bright as some other TVs but 1,000 nits is still crazy impressive 🤯

OMG I'm low-key surprised by how much I love this QD-OLED TV!! 🤩 The contrast and black levels are literally insane! I was skeptical at first but Samsung's tech is fire 💥 Watching dark scenes on "Skeleton Crew" was like having a mini dark room in my living room lol. Plus, the off-axis accuracy is on point - no more washed out colors when you're not right in front of it 🙌 And yeah, 1,000 nits peak brightness is no joke! The processing power is insane too, I feel like I'm right there with the characters on "Our Planet" watching those stunning nature docs 🌴

I don’t usually comment but... I think Samsung's midrange QD-OLED TVs are getting a bad rap 🤔. People seem to expect top-of-the-line features from every TV, especially if it's labeled as "OLED". But the thing is, sometimes you get more than what you pay for 💸. The S90F might not be the most flashy or brightest, but its contrast and black levels are on point 😎. And let's be real, how many of us really watch our TVs at 100% brightness? 🤷‍♂️ I've had this TV for a few weeks now, and it's still holding up great to my favorite nature documentaries 🌳👍. It's not perfect, but for the price point, I think it's an absolute steal 🤑.

🤔 I'm still thinking about this mid-range QD-OLED TV from Samsung... it's crazy how much of a difference the price can make in the quality you get. For me, it's all about that contrast and black levels - like watching a dark scene on a totally different level 🎥. And yeah, 1,000 nits peak brightness is still pretty solid for a non-premium TV. I think what really sells it for me though is how well it handles off-axis viewing... no more washed out colors or brightness just because you're not sitting right in front of the screen 😊. Plus, that cinematic touch is insane! Nature docs like "Our Planet" on Netflix look so real and immersive 🌴. If budget's your thing, this TV is definitely worth considering - especially if you're already invested in Samsung ecosystem 💸.

I gotta say, I'm loving the S90F's contrast levels 🤩 it's like a whole new level of dark scenes is born! And don't even get me started on how well it handles nature docs 🌴🐠 - Netflix's "Our Planet" looks insane on this thing! But you know what's crazy? It's not just about the visuals, Samsung really nails the processing power too 💻. I mean, those minor details that make a difference in your viewing experience... they're like magic ✨. For me, it's all about the cinematic touch 🎥 - and this TV delivers!

I gotta say, I'm really surprised by how much I'm loving the S90F QD-OLED TV 🤯. At first, I was like "okay, mid-range OLED" but then I dug deeper and it's clear that Samsung has put some serious thought into this thing. The contrast and black levels are insane - it's like watching a movie in a dark room with zero distractions 🔦. And off-axis accuracy is spot on - no more washed-out colors or lost details when you're sitting at an angle.

But what really gets me is the cinematic touch 🎥. Samsung's processing power is top-notch, and it really makes a difference in every scene. Nature docs like "Our Planet" are truly breathtaking - I felt like I was right there on the coral reef with the divers 😍. And don't even get me started on the colors - they pop without ever feeling overcooked.

I know it's not as bright as some other TVs, but honestly, that's not a deal-breaker for me 🤷‍♂️. The S90F still packs a punch, and its prices are really reasonable compared to flagship OLEDs. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid home viewing experience without breaking the bank 💸.

I think Samsung's midrange QD-OLED TV is a solid choice for those on a budget! 🤔 I've been following this TV's performance, and it seems like it really delivers when it comes to contrast and black levels - that's some impressive stuff! 😮 Also, its off-axis accuracy is on point, so you don't have to worry about the colors getting all washed out when you're not sitting directly in front of the screen.

One thing I do wish it had was more brightness, but 1,000 nits is still plenty for most movies and shows. And hey, at this price point, it's definitely worth considering if you're already invested in the Samsung ecosystem or looking to upgrade from a lower-end OLED. Plus, as prices keep dropping in 2026, I think it'll only become even more compelling! 💸

I'm not saying Samsung's QD-OLED TV is a total game changer or anything 😊 but I think it's pretty solid, especially considering the price point. The contrast and black levels are on par with some of the high-end OLEDs out there, which is no easy feat. And yeah, it's definitely better than most LED TVs in terms of processing power - you can really feel the difference when they're handling fast-paced scenes or detailed textures.

I'm also loving how it handles off-axis viewing, keeps the colors and brightness consistent even when you're not right in front of the screen. Plus, it's got that cinematic touch that makes nature documentaries pop 🌴. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the brightness could be a bit better, but overall I think Samsung's done a great job with this mid-range model.

I'm curious to see how prices drop in 2026 and whether it becomes an even more compelling option for budget-conscious folks 👀.

I gotta say, I'm loving the S90F's dark scene performance 🤩! The contrast and black levels are insane - like watching a movie in a theater at home 😎. And off-axis accuracy is super important for me, too, 'cause I often sit on the side when binge-watching Netflix series 📺. It's great to see Samsung putting so much thought into the viewing experience 🤝. Now that you've tested it out, do you think it's worth the price tag? Is it a good value for the money 💸?

omg u guyz i gotta say i was super skeptical about samsungs new qd-oled tv but after tryin it out for a while now im seriously impressed!!! 🤯 it may not be as bright as some other tvs but its contrast and black levels are on point like wow! 😲 and the colors r so vivid u feel like ur right there in nature doco's or whatever u watch on it lol. i mean dont get me wrong its not the same level of premium as samsungs flagship oled but its still a solid choice if u wanna upgrade from an older model without breakin the bank 💸
