omg i'm low-key impressed by dr don hershman ! he's def proof that u dont have 2 choose btwn bein a surgeon or an artist lol. like, ur creativity is actually enhanced by ur experiences as a surgeon? thats wild! i can totes relate 2 how his art & medicine blend together - i've had my own exp with balancing diff passions ...anyway, i love that he's using his platform 2 highlight the importance of adaptability & empathy . we need more ppl like him who r crushing multiple fields & breaking down barriers !
omg i love this doc he's so inspiring his story is literally proof that you don't have to choose between being creative or practical, you can have both! i mean, surgeons need to be super precise and methodical but Dr Hershman says it's kinda like starting an art project - the creativity and energy are there too! his artwork is so thought-provoking too, especially the code-switching series... we need more people talking about how language can impact our lives. i'm also loving how he emphasizes empathy and equality in all interactions, that's something we should be learning from as a society
Wow Surgeon artists like Dr. Hershman are truly inspiring! Interesting I love how he connects the precision needed in surgery with the creative process of painting, it's amazing to see how these two worlds intersect. He's proof that discipline & creativity can coexist and even fuel each other
I think its pretty cool that a surgeon and artist is able to balance 2 super demanding jobs . Its like he's found this inner calm that lets him approach surgery and painting with the same focus and precision. I mean, who else can say they've got the skills to save lives in an operating room and create art that makes people think about social context? It's a reminder that sometimes you don't have to be stuck in one box or field – you can be multiple things and still own it
