Star Wars Legend Reacts to Acosta's Impression of Darth Vader

Mark Hamill, the iconic actor who brought Luke Skywalker to life in the beloved Star Wars franchise, shared his thoughts on a potential spinoff series centered around his legendary character. The discussion took an amusing turn when CNN's Jim Acosta attempted to channel his inner Darth Vader, sending chills down Hamill's spine.

Acosta, trying to pay homage to the iconic villain, delivered a spot-on impression of Darth Vader's ominous voice and mannerisms. However, it was clear that the CNN anchor had not quite grasped the character's subtleties. Hamill couldn't help but chuckle at Acosta's efforts, admitting that he didn't quite capture the essence of the legendary Star Wars icon.

Despite the occasional misstep, Acosta's enthusiasm and dedication to the role were endearing. When asked about a potential spinoff series featuring Luke Skywalker, Hamill expressed his interest in exploring new storylines for the character while staying true to the spirit of the original trilogy.

The video conversation highlighted the special bond between actors and their iconic characters. For Hamill, reprising his role as Luke Skywalker is like "putting on a pair of old shoes" – it's comforting and familiar. Meanwhile, Acosta's impression of Darth Vader served as a lighthearted reminder that even the most seasoned actors can benefit from a bit of creative license.

While we may not see a spinoff series centered around Luke Skywalker anytime soon, Mark Hamill's enthusiasm for the character is reassuring. And who knows? Maybe one day, Acosta will perfect his Darth Vader impression and join the ranks of the franchise's esteemed voice actors. Until then, fans can look forward to more humorous impressions and heartfelt discussions from these two beloved Star Wars personalities.

I think it's kinda weird that people are making a big deal about Jim Acosta trying to be like Darth Vader 🤔. I mean, come on, it's just a harmless impression, right? 😂 But at the same time... wait, no, maybe it's actually kind of impressive that he can do a decent impersonation of the guy 🙅‍♂️. Ugh, I don't know what I'm thinking anymore! 🤯 Maybe Acosta should be part of the Star Wars spinoff series? Nah, I was just kidding about that 😜. But seriously though, Mark Hamill seems like a really down-to-earth guy, and it's great to see him being so supportive of Jim Acosta's enthusiasm 👍. Unless... unless Acosta's impression was actually kinda bad 🤷‍♂️. Ugh, my mind is all over the place today 🙈.

lol what's with all this star wars hype 🚀👽 i mean don't get me wrong, mark hamill is a legend and all but let's be real, he's been playing luke skywalker for like forever 🙄 and jim acosta's impression of darth vader was pretty funny 😂 can we just have a star wars marathon on netflix already? 👀

🤣 I'm dyin' laughin' over here! Jim Acosta's tryin' to be Darth Vader is just too funny 🙃 but seriously tho, Mark Hamill's got some legit concerns about the character's development. Can't wait to see what he comes up with for a Luke Skywalker spinoff 🚀 and who knows maybe Acosta can join the voice cast 😂👽

😊 I think it's pretty cool that Mark Hamill was able to poke fun at Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression without making him feel bad about it. Like, yeah, the kid's got spirit, but he's no Luke Skywalker... yet! 🤣 Anyway, it's awesome that Hamill is still down for a potential spinoff series featuring Luke – I'd totally watch that!

omg i just saw this video of Jim Acosta trying to do a darth vader impression 😂👽 it was so funny but also kinda impressive? i mean mark hamill is literally the original and he's still doing his thing after all these years. i can imagine how intimidating darth vader must've been when hamill first started playing him, even back then hamill must've felt like he needed to bring some personality to the character or else it would've been super boring 🤔. maybe acosta just needs a bit more practice but honestly it's kinda cool to see someone trying so hard to get into character 💪

I gotta say 🤩, Mark Hamill is still got it! 😂 I mean, who wouldn't want to see a Luke Skywalker spinoff series? It'd be so cool to explore new adventures with the iconic hero. And Jim Acosta's Darth Vader impression was pretty epic 👊, even if he didn't quite nail the character. Still, kudos for trying and showing his passion! 🤗 It's awesome to see these two Star Wars legends having fun together 💫. Mark Hamill's enthusiasm is infectious, too - it's clear he's still super into Luke Skywalker 🎬. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this fandom fave 🤞

lol @ Jim Acosta trying to channel his inner Darth Vader 🤣 that was hilarious 😂 i feel bad for him, he just didn't quite get the vibe 🤷‍♂️ but hey, at least he tried 💪 mark hamill is so cool, love how he's still into Luke Skywalker like 30 years later ❤️

omg i cant even right now 🤣 mark hamill is literally the best thing since sliced bread, and acosta's impression of darth vader was everything 😂 i mean who else could make that iconic breathing sound so on point? 🎧 but for real tho, its awesome to see these 2 star wars legends vibing together, even if acosta didnt exactly nail the character. i need a luke skwalker spinoff series stat 🔥 and can we pls get acosta in on that too? he should def be part of the voice cast 🎤 would love to c him bring his darth vader skills to life 👊

omg can u believe jim acosta got it soooo close tho like he almost had that deep space voice down i was literally shakin in my seat lol but mark hamill is totally right we need a luke skywalker spinoff stat i'd watch it just to see hamill bring the character back to life again 🚀💫

I gotta say, Jim Acosta's attempt at channeling Darth Vader was pretty spot on, but it was clear he didn't quite nail the whole " breathing heavy through a mask" thing 🤣. I mean, who doesn't love a good impression? And Mark Hamill is just the coolest for being so down with Acosta's enthusiasm - I think we can all agree that being Darth Vader is way harder than it looks 💪. As for a Luke Skywalker spinoff series, yeah, that sounds like an awesome idea! But let's be real, Jim Acosta better bring his A-game if he wants to join the voice cast 🤞.

lol what a cool vid 🤖 I mean, i was just chillin on reddit when this comes up in my timeline and i'm like wow jim acosta is trying his best at darth vader 😂 I love how hamill doesn't take it too seriously tho, he's all like 'oh, nice try' 🙃 i'm glad they're having fun with it tho, reminds me of when peter capshaw was in the avengers and he kept poking fun at himself
