Slipknot's move is a pretty standard response in this situation . They can always revive the lawsuit if they want, but I guess it's better to just let bygones be bygones . It's also interesting that the band hasn't taken action against the site, considering the potential damage it could cause to their brand and fanbase . Maybe they're trying to focus on other things... or maybe it's just easier to let someone else deal with this kind of thing . Either way, it's a weird situation !
omg u wont believe what just went down with slipknot so they were suing this random dude over a website called slipknot.com that's like super old & has nothing to do w/ the band lol but seriously, i feel bad 4 the site owner cuz he didnt even know about the lawsuit & it took them 2 months 2 notice him anyway, they dropped the case so now the site is still up but theres a note sayin no delivery channels available w/ it im guessin its all good 4 slipknot cuz theyre prob more worried bout gettin merch right from official sources
I feel bad for the website owner who's been running slipknot.com for 24 years . I mean, you're basically just trying to make a living and sell some merch, right? And now Slipknot is dropping the lawsuit without even getting a chance to be heard . It's like, what's the point of having a case if you're not gonna take it all the way through? Still, I guess this guy got lucky that Slipknot decided not to shut him down for good . Can't say I'm a huge fan of slipknot.com myself (been burned by those cheap merchies before ), but kudos to the owner for keeping it going all these years .
