I'm not sure I buy into this "reframing America's narrative" business
. It sounds like a bunch of semantics to me. What's wrong with telling the whole story? It's not like they're erasing history or something, just moving some exhibits around. But seriously, what's the real motivation here? Are they really trying to educate people or is this just about some kind of PR spin? 
I mean, I get that there are complex histories and perspectives that need to be acknowledged, but don't we already have museums and academic institutions dedicated to exploring those topics? Do we really need the NPS to start censoring its exhibits? It just seems like a bunch of bureaucratic red tape to me. And what about all the visitors who come to these monuments with certain expectations? Are they just going to be left in the dark? That's just gonna be a total lose-lose situation for everyone involved
