I think the shutdown is actually a blessing in disguise . I mean, some people might be worried about the closure of Head Start centers and all that, but let's be real, it's not like these programs are being run efficiently or anything. I'm sure the parents who can't afford childcare are just fine without it - they can just spend more time with their kids, right? And as for food insecurity, yeah, maybe people will finally learn to cook and grow their own food instead of relying on SNAP all the time. It's not like that program is meant to be a crutch or anything... I mean, it's just a temporary solution until something better comes along .
Ugh im so worried about these low income familes my cousin has 2 kids and she cant afford childcare rn i feel bad cuz shes always working multiple jobs just to make ends meet lol and now the gov shutdown is gonna hurt her even more its not right that these programs are gettin closed down, like what r they gonna do now? find free childcare somewhere lol i no it aint easy but like, whats the alternative? anyway i hope ppl can raise awareness about this and get the gov to step up their game
This is getting outta hand I mean, can't we do better than this? 17 Head Start programs closed in Ohio alone? That's heartbreaking and what about all those families who are gonna lose their only source of affordable childcare? It's like the government forgot that some people are struggling to make ends meet already . We need a more sustainable funding model ASAP
This is so sad the thought of these little kids not getting the care they need because of some political drama is heartbreaking. I feel like we're already living paycheck to paycheck and now our options are being taken away. The government needs to step up and provide more support for these families, especially when it comes to affordable childcare and food assistance. It's just not right that people have to choose between putting food on the table or paying for childcare so their kid can get a proper education and therapy. We need to do better as a country
