The SPOTY ceremony is always a bit cringeworthy, if you ask me . I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great to celebrate sports excellence and all that, but sometimes it feels like they're just trying to make it feel more 'entertaining' than it actually is . The voting process can be pretty biased too, especially when the public gets a say in it. Like, what about all the athletes who don't get enough media coverage or social media love? They get snubbed in the process .

idk why everyone's so hyped for this thing... it's just a bunch of winners holding up trophies and getting praised by the public . newsflash: we've been watching sports all year, what makes december 18th any different? and another thing, isn't it weird that every award category has to include "team" or "women's"? like, can't we just have an award for best athlete or something? and btw, why do they always have to play the winner in advance on tv? can't we just watch live and find out who wins?
