Stores keep prices down in a tough year for turkeys

😒 This Thanksgiving is shaping up to be super pricey 🤑 44% increase? That's crazy! I'm not surprised though, with all the bird flu stuff going around 🐓, it's no wonder prices are skyrocketing. And don't even get me started on the tariffs on steel and aluminum... companies are just passing those costs down to us consumers 🤦‍♀️. Meanwhile, farmers like Larry Doll who focus on quality and customer service are basically printing money 💸. It's interesting that Aldi and Kroger are trying to compete by offering deals on Thanksgiving staples - I'm thinking of checking out their options this year 😊. On the other hand, some folks might be opting for alternative proteins like steak cuts... guess you could say it's a meat-lover's market 🍖️!

🤔 I'm just confused about why turkeys are so expensive this year... I mean, I know there's bird flu and all that, but 44% is a lot! And it's not just the turkeys themselves, other meats like beef are going up too. It makes me wonder if we'll really be able to afford Thanksgiving dinner at its usual price point. 🦃🍁 Do you think the farmers who are making more money because of their quality turkeys are contributing to the problem or helping solve it?

Ugh I'm so done with Thanksgiving this year 🤦‍♂️ prices for turkeys have gone up by 44% already?! that's crazy! what's next? will we see a price hike on pumpkin pie too? 🍁 and it's not just the turkeys, steel and aluminum tariffs are making things even worse. I'm all for supporting local farmers like Larry Doll, but how many others can he do it? this is just another example of how the global supply chain is messed up.
