but what if she was just waiting for people to calm down? I mean, who wouldn't want to capitalize on a controversy that's already got the whole internet talking? American Eagle's stock rising 30% after the backlash? That sounds like some pretty calculated marketing to me... and Sweeney's just playing the victim role now

the thing is hate speech can spread so fast on social media and if we dont address it directly it can keep getting normalized 
its like how american eagle's stock actually went up after ppl started trashing them lol but seriously its a big deal and we need more ppl like sydney using their influence to promote love and acceptance 
... It's not always easy to speak out, but sometimes silence can come across as complicity or even worse
