Tech Workers Are Condemning ICE Even as Their CEOs Stay Quiet

I feel like these companies are trying to avoid getting involved because they don't want to risk alienating their biggest customers... I mean, who's gonna boycott their services or not invest in them if they're against ICE? But at the same time, it's kinda weird that some of these CEOs are just sitting on this issue. Like, what's going through their minds? Are they really that concerned about the bottom line? And I'm all for people speaking out, but can't we expect more from our tech giants right now? They're basically the voice of America... or at least the internet .

I'm soooo worried about these researchers speaking out it's crazy how they're being silenced by their CEOs but at the same time I'm super proud of them for taking a stand against ICE's brutal actions they deserve so much respect even if some CEOs are playing it safe Jason Calacanis is speaking truth to power and Nikhil Thorat and Jonathan Frankle are giving me LIFE this is exactly what's needed in these times of crisis we need more people like them who care about justice and human rights

I think this is super concerning . All these big tech companies are getting money from the government and yet they're not speaking up about ICE's actions? It's like they're trying to get along with everyone but actually, that's what makes them complicit in all this . I mean, it's great that some researchers and employees are taking a stand, but where's the leadership from these CEOs? They should be using their platforms to raise awareness and push for change . And what's with the companies not releasing statements about this? It feels like they're just trying to avoid any backlash . This is why we need more transparency and accountability from our tech giants .

omg this is so crazy that more than 150 tech workers are speaking out against ICE's actions some of these ppl are from super big companies too i wonder what's going thru their CEOs minds tho r they just scared about losing money or do they actually care about the impact on people?

This whole thing is a perfect storm for Democrats - they're going to use this as evidence that the GOP is out of touch with the concerns of regular Americans , especially when it comes to immigration . Meanwhile, CEOs who are hesitant to speak out might be seen as tone-deaf or worse, beholden to their corporate bottom line . It's not just about taking a stand, but also about where they're getting their money from ...

omg this is getting crazy tech workers are finally speaking up against ICE but where r their CEOs? why r they staying so quiet i think it's bc they don't want to lose that cash political instability is not good for the bottom line as historian margaret o'mara said but honestly its kinda messed up that ppl are being killed by ICE agents and no one from the big corps is saying anything some r like nikhil thorat and jonathan frankle tho they're speaking out against ICE's actions

anywayz i think its time for the tech leaders to take a stand especially when it comes to immigration issues we need more ppl in power to be like venture capitalist jason calacanis who's saying that masked agents r breaking the 4th amendment anywayz lets keep pushing
