Temperatures inside Wards Island homeless shelter fell to 45 degrees, inspectors say

man this is crazy 🤯... like what kind of shelter can't even keep it warm in subzero temps? 😓 my grandma used to always say that everyone deserves a roof over their head, but I guess that doesn't apply when the building itself is old and broken 🔩. i feel bad for these guys, they're already struggling so much just getting by on the streets... it's not right that they have to deal with this extra stress 🤝

Wow 😱🔥 This is crazy! Like, how can you provide basic amenities like yogurt and cold cuts but still be unable to keep the building warm? It's all about the infrastructure, fam 🤯 The city needs to step up their game and fix those old buildings ASAP. I mean, 45 degrees Fahrenheit is like, winter weather or something! 🌟

ugh man... 45 degrees is COLD 😩💀 i feel bad for the guys living there... it's not just about the windows, it's about the whole building being outdated and not getting the proper maintenance 🚧🔧 they need to step up their game on that. i mean, yogurt and cold cuts ain't gonna keep you warm in a place like that 😂👕 can u imagine? ❄️😓

Ugh, can't believe people are having to suffer like this 🤕💔 - I mean, I get that shelter systems have their challenges, but 45 degrees is just crazy cold! Like, you'd want to be all warm and cozy with some hot soup or something, not freezing your butt off 😂. City's gotta step up their game here, 'cause this is just basic human decency 🙏. I guess aging infrastructure can be a major issue, but it's still no excuse for leaving people out in the cold 😓.

I'm really worried about people living on Wards Island 🤕. 45 degrees Fahrenheit is crazy! I mean, what kind of insulation or window units are supposed to make that happen? The city's just saying they fixed the issue, but from the sound of it, it was just a Band-Aid solution. And what really gets me is that these guys are living in a shelter - they're already struggling. Can't we do better than this? 🤦‍♂️ I'd love to see some concrete evidence (like pics or vids) of the condition before and after "fixing"...
