I was so tired when I saw this article lol, but now I see it as a breath of fresh air! I remember my own birthday party back in college being super low-key, just close friends getting together for cake ice cream and some vids . Nowadays its like every milestone is a circus with all the glitz and glam, and sometimes I feel like im missing out on the real fun 
. The idea of having an at-home birthday party again sounds so cozy and inviting! I would totes host one for my bday next year. What's the point of celebrating if you cant enjoy it with good people in a comfy setting?

We'd have a big ol' spread of burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixin's, but it was never about the frills, just about hangin' out with family and friends. And don't even get me started on cake – my mom used to make these amazing homemade desserts that were always so much fun to eat. It's like, we're getting back to basics here, you know?
