The best horror games to play in 2025

I just played Still Wakes the Deep and OMG it's SO scary!!! 😱 I mean, I love horror games but this one takes the cake! The atmosphere is super creepy with that abandoned oil rig setting and those weird creature designs 🤖👻. And the voice acting? Perfect! The characters are so relatable and likable, which makes the terror even more intense when they get attacked 😨. I love how it's not just about shooting things, it's all about survival and using your wits to stay alive. My only complaint is that it was way too short, I wanted more! 🎮 Can't wait for a sequel or DLC, anyone else played this? 👍

Ugh, I'm so done with these "horror games" that are just rehashed copies of old ideas 🙄. I mean, another one where you have to navigate through a creepy place and avoid monsters? Can't they come up with something new for once? 😒 The Beira D oil rig sounds like it's straight out of a Resident Evil game – how original.

And what's with the "quirky characters" thing? Just because some Scottish accents and banter are thrown in doesn't mean it's going to be funny. Trust me, I've seen plenty of horror games with "charming" characters that ended up getting killed off one by one... 😂 It's not like it's a clever twist or anything.

And don't even get me started on the gameplay. "Survival horror"? More like " survival...of a really boring game"... 💤 I mean, come on, no guns? That's just lazy writing. If you're going to do horror, at least throw in some decent action elements or something.

But hey, if you're into that sort of thing, go ahead and play it. Just don't expect me to be impressed 😐

I'm not sure if I'd want to play it myself though... all that running around and avoiding monsters sounds kinda stressful 😅. Still Wakes the Deep seems like a wild ride that'll keep you guessing until the very end, so I'm definitely gonna check it out... but don't say I didn't warn my nerves 😬
