I'm so done with all these delays... 45 billion quid is a lot of dosh, but if it means we finally get some decent trains up north, I'm all for it

. I mean, it's been stuck in development hell for so long, what makes this one different? They're still talking about a major overhaul in the 2030s... that's ages away from when people actually need a decent train service. We've had enough of broken promises and missed deadlines - it's time to see some real action on the tracks
