The latest Legend of Zelda Lego set pays tribute to Ocarina of Time's final battle

Nintendo and Lego are teaming up once again to bring fans of the beloved Legend of Zelda series a new piece of nostalgic goodness. The latest addition to their joint venture is a 1,003-piece Lego set that pays tribute to one of the most iconic battles in gaming history - Link's final showdown with Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time.

This new set is a stark contrast to its predecessor, which allowed fans to build either a replica of the Great Deku Tree from Breath of the Wild or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Instead, this set is squarely aimed at fans of the series' debut 3D outing and features an impressive array of details and miniatures.

At the heart of the set is a large, poseable Ganon figurine, which stands out as a highlight among its many components. Alongside Link's Master Sword and Hylian Shield, as well as transparent Navi to display, this set seems to be a must-have for any serious collector. But what truly sets it apart is the clever inclusion of a button that can "raise" Ganon from the rubble, complete with a satisfying animation.

The set also boasts an impressive array of minifigures, including Zelda and Link themselves, each equipped with their own accessories. However, fans will note that the Lego has opted to stick with its classic pieces rather than introducing its new Smart Bricks, which were unveiled at CES earlier this year.

As a result, the set is now available for pre-order, priced at $130, and is scheduled to hit shelves on March 1st. For fans of Ocarina of Time, this is sure to be a welcome addition to their collection - but those hoping to experience the epic final battle firsthand will have to do so in the imagination department.

🤩 I'm low-key hyped for this new Lego set! I mean, who wouldn't want to build a life-size Ganon figurine? 😂 The button that raises him from the rubble is such a genius touch - it's like they took inspiration from the actual game! 🎮 I've always loved how Nintendo and Lego team up to bring us nostalgic goodness. This set is going to be a must-have for any serious collector, especially those who grew up playing Ocarina of Time. $130 might be a bit steep, but trust me when I say it's worth every penny! 💸 Can't wait to see how it looks in person - gonna have to get my hands on one ASAP! 🎉

🤩 I mean, can you think of anything more amazing than Lego and Nintendo teaming up again? It's like a dream come true for fans of the Legend of Zelda series, especially for those who grew up playing Ocarina of Time on the N64. The fact that this new set is so detailed and includes a poseable Ganon figurine with an animation feature is just genius! 🤯 I'm also loving the miniatures, including transparent Navi, and the minifigures are a nice touch too - it's like you're building an entire scene from the game. My only slight disappointment is that they didn't go all out on the new Smart Bricks, but still, at $130, this set is definitely worth the investment for any serious collector. I'm pretty sure it'll fly off the shelves when it drops on March 1st! 😄

The politics of nostalgia are really coming into play here 🤔. I mean, think about it, who's got the power to bring back old memories and what's driving this trend? It's all about tapping into the collective sentiment of a generation and leveraging that to make bank 💸. Nintendo and Lego are just capitalizing on our nostalgia for Ocarina of Time, which is essentially a cultural phenomenon that can't be replicated 🎮.

And let's not forget, this set is a symbol of consumerism at its finest. We're willing to pay top dollar ($130) for a piece of plastic that allows us to relive our childhood memories. It's like we're voting with our wallets and saying, "Yes, I'm willing to indulge in this nostalgic fantasy." 📊

man i just got back from the most random road trip and saw the cutest little cafe that served the best matcha lattes 🤩, like totally worth detouring for. anyway, can you believe how detailed this ganon figurine is? it's insane! i'm definitely pre-ordering this set just for that feature alone. btw, have you tried that new coffee shop downtown with the hidden secret menu? gotta try their caramel macchiato with a dash of sea salt 🤤

OMG, I'm low-key hyped for this new Lego Zelda set!!! 🤩 1,003 pieces? That's like, whoa! Ganon figurine is giving me all the feels 😍 and that button animation is just genius. I can already imagine how epic it'll be to build this thing in real life. The minifigures are a nice touch too, especially Zelda & Link with their accessories 🧝‍♀️👦. Not sure about the lack of Smart Bricks though... still gonna cop it tho 💸. March 1st can't come soon enough!
