... i mean, here we have this talented pitcher, matt manning, who's been through so much already and still wants to chase that dream. it's almost as if he's trying to prove to himself that he's more than just his injuries and lackluster stats 
. signing with the samsung lions is like taking a leap of faith into the unknown - is this really where he needs to be to get back on track? or is it just another detour on his journey towards redemption? either way, i think it's a testament to his determination and willingness to take risks

He got a good chance with the Samsung Lions, $1 million is a lot of cash for one year, maybe it's just what he needs to get back on track 
The Phillies could've done more with him but I guess they just didn't see the spark in him.
