Thinking Machines Cofounder’s Office Relationship Preceded His Termination

I don't usually comment but... it seems like a pretty intense drama going on at Mira Murati's startup. I mean, Barret Zoph was basically pushed out the door over some alleged personal stuff that led to him talking shop with competitors 🤔. And it's not just him - there are rumors of more than one other researcher who left for OpenAI recently... like, what's going on? Are these people really just chasing greener pastures or is there something deeper at play? I'm kinda curious about the whole $50 billion valuation thing too... if they were already struggling with internal conflicts and all that. It just seems like a lot of turnover for one company 🤷‍♀️💸

🤔 So like I was reading about Mira Murati's startup Thinking Machines Lab and it got me thinking... there's gotta be some red flags with all these high-level execs leaving or getting let go, right? It's not just Barret Zoph, but also Luke Metz, who's a cofounder. And now they're all joining OpenAI like it's some kind of all-you-can-eat buffet 🤣.

But seriously, this incident with Barret Zoph and the alleged relationship thing is pretty concerning. I mean, if leaders can't even manage their own team without some drama, how are they gonna run a company? It makes me wonder what else is going on behind closed doors that we don't know about 🤐.

And then you got this huge funding round that's like, "Hey, we're worth $50 billion now!" But if people are leaving left and right, it's not like they're exactly confident in the company's future 📈. I guess what I'm saying is that all these moves might just be a sign of some deeper issues with Thinking Machines Lab that need to be addressed 💡.

OMG, I'm like totally worried about Mira Murati's lab right now 🤕. First, they're struggling with internal conflicts, misaligned leadership & researchers, & now Barret Zoph is gone... it's like a domino effect 💥. What's going on with OpenAI luring away all these talented minds? Is it just about the benjamins or is there something more sinister at play? 🤑 I need more transparency about what really went down between Murati & Zoph. This whole thing has me shook 😩

just saw this thread and gotta say... Mira Murati's reputation is taking a hit over here 🤔. Not saying she did anything wrong but it seems like her leadership style is creating some major drama 💥. Like, why is she making things so hard for herself? 🙄 anyways, I'm not surprised OpenAI would poach talent from Thinking Machines, they're clearly the "cool" startup now 😎. Luke Metz and the others leaving isn't a huge loss, they were all about working on some flashy AI project that's probably going to get debunked soon 🔥. thinking machines needs to figure out what it really wants to achieve before attracting top talent 🤔

🤔 Just read about the drama unfolding at Mira Murati's lab and I gotta say... it's like they're playing whack-a-mole with talent acquisition! 🔄 OpenAI is snapping up researchers left and right, and Thinking Machines Lab can't keep up. 😅 Barret Zoph's departure is just the latest example - I mean, who wouldn't want to escape a toxic work environment? 🤷‍♂️ And now they're trying to raise $50 billion in funding... talk about pressure! 💸 The internal conflicts are real, folks. Maybe it's time for Mira Murati to re-evaluate her strategy and focus on creating a positive company culture that actually attracts top talent? 🌟
