Three decades later, The Truman Show feels freshly disturbing – and astoundingly prescient

🤯 The themes in 'The Truman Show' are more prescient now than ever - the way our lives are curated for social media is like living in a perpetual sitcom with sinister undertones 📺. It's unsettling how Christof's authoritarianism still resonates today, and I think Weir's masterpiece is highlighting the darker aspects of our relationship with media 👀. The fact that 'Seahaven' feels eerily familiar, like we've all been living in a constructed reality without even realizing it 😳... it's both haunting and thought-provoking 🤔.

🙄 I mean, think about it, we're literally living in a world where our every move is being watched and shared online 📱💻. It's like we're trapped in some kind of never-ending social experiment 🤯. And the more I see people posting their lives on Instagram, the more I'm reminded of Truman's reality TV show 📺. Like, what's the point of sharing every mundane moment with the world if it's just gonna be curated and manipulated by algorithms? 🤔 It's all about control, man...
