oh man i feel like these movie execs have been stuck on this franchise thing for ages its like they're trying to recapture magic but it's not always easy to make something new and exciting from an existing idea my heart goes out to the fans who are excited to see some of their favorite characters back on screen but sometimes i just don't think sequels live up to the original
idk why these studios even bother with sequels some of these sound like they're just rehashing old jokes or trying too hard to recapture past glory. toy story 5 already came out and it was fine i guess, but do we really need another one? on the other hand, a devil wears prada sequel with that cast could actually work if they focus on something more than just the main character's drama
Ugh, I'm so done with these sequel fatigue. It's like the Hollywood machine just keeps cranking out whatever feels like the "next big thing". You've got your nostalgia-fueled reboots and remakes, but then you've also got these lazy cash-grabs that are more interested in milking a brand for all it's worth than actually trying to tell a good story. I mean, come on, a fourth installment of Meet the Parents? That's just ridiculous. Can't we have something original for once?
And don't even get me started on these so-called "sequels" that are more like unnecessary prequels or spin-offs. It feels like they're just trying to prop up their star-studded casts instead of actually trying to tell a compelling story. Like, who cares about the backstory of Woody Harrelson's character?
But hey, I do have to admit that some of these sequels sound kinda interesting... like Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, for example. With Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Cronenberg on board, it could be a wild ride. And maybe, just maybe, we'll finally see someone capture lightning in a bottle twice.
