Timberwolves escape late in New Orleans again

Minnesota Timberwolves secure a nail-biting 125-116 victory over New Orleans Pelicans, thanks in large part to Julius Randle's outstanding performance. The 28-year-old forward dominated on both ends of the court, scoring 28 points and pulling down nine rebounds as the Timberwolves continued their winning streak.

Despite Anthony Edwards' season-high 44-point outburst just two nights earlier, he was held to a relatively modest 11 points in this game, limiting Minnesota's offense. However, a balanced effort from Naz Reid, Rudy Gobert, and Donte DiVincenzo helped the Wolves secure their fourth straight win.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, are struggling to find consistency, having lost five straight games and fell to 3-20 on the season. Trey Murphy III led the way with 21 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Timberwolves' strong second-half run.

With the Wolves leading 91-88 after three quarters, they then scored an impressive 15 straight points to take a commanding 103-91 lead. Naz Reid played a key role in this surge, contributing two 3-pointers and an alley-oop dunk during the run.

The Timberwolves will look to keep their winning momentum going when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday.

man that Julius Randle is on fire πŸ”₯ he's like a machine out there, scoring and rebounding left and right. the pelicans are having a rough season though, 3-20? that's just crazy 🀯 i mean i know they got some talent, but it's clear they need to work on their chemistry and consistency. meanwhile the wolves are looking strong, might be time for them to make a deep playoff run πŸ”΄οΈ

omg, I mean, come on, Anthony Edwards is supposed to be one of the top scorers in the league and he's only able to put up 11 points against a pretty decent defense? what happened to him there? 🀯 he usually gets it going when it matters most. anyway, Naz Reid was super clutch as per usual πŸ™Œ that guy's got some serious skills. and Julius Randle is just dominating all over the place πŸ’ͺ 28 points and 9 rebounds? no problem for this dude. gotta give props to the Wolves' defense too, they kept the Pelicans in check. can't say the same about the Pelicans though πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ 3-20 on the season is a pretty bleak outlook. anyways, the Wolves are looking solid right now...

OMG, can't believe how much the Wolves have improved since last season 🀯! Randle's performance was insane, like he's unstoppable on the court πŸ’₯. I love how Naz Reid stepped up and contributed big time to their win πŸ‘. The Pelicans are really struggling right now, gotta feel bad for those guys πŸ€•. And that 15-point run by the Wolves in the third quarter? Mind-blowing! 😲 Got my hopes up for Saturday's game against the Clippers, let's keep this winning streak going πŸ”₯!

I'm loving how consistently good the Wolves are looking right now πŸ€©πŸ€. But I gotta say, it's a bit concerning that Edwards only had 11 points in this game... what was his coach thinking? Should've given him more minutes, you know? πŸ˜• And yeah, Reid and Gobert stepped up big time to fill the gap. The Pelicans are struggling mightily, and their young guys need to step up if they wanna compete 🀯. I'm hyped for Saturday's game though - can the Wolves keep this winning streak alive?! πŸ’ͺ

I think it's crazy that the Pelicans are having such a tough season 🀯. Like, I get it, losing five straight games can be rough, but 3-20? That's just...not good πŸ˜…. On the other hand, I'm loving the Wolves' winning streak! They're on fire πŸ”₯. But, at the same time, I think they should be worried about Anthony Edwards' consistency πŸ€”. He had a massive game just two nights ago and then he was held to 11 points? What's going on with that dude?! πŸ˜‚. And don't even get me started on Naz Reid, he's like the unsung hero of the team πŸ™Œ. But wait, I'm not sure if I trust him when it comes to 3-pointers...πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Ugh, my brain is all over the place today πŸ˜….

come on, pelicans.. πŸ˜” you guys can't get a break right now. five straight losses and it's like you're stuck in reverse 🚫. Julius Randle is a beast on both ends of the court though, gotta give him that 🀩. i'm loving the way edwards is killing it when he's hot πŸ”₯ but yeah, 11 points isn't gonna cut it when you need every point πŸ“Š. and naz reid, rudy gobert, and divincenzo coming through with big games like this is exactly what the wolves needed πŸ’ͺ. can't wait to see how they take on the clippers on saturday πŸ‘€

πŸ€ So I'm watching these games and you'd think that Anthony Edwards would be the one carrying the team with his insane scoring ability, but Minnesota's team effort is actually what saved the day? It's like they knew he was gonna have a tough game so they spread the love 🀝. And Julius Randle just straight-up dominating on both ends of the court... 28 points and 9 rebounds? That's just impressive. πŸ’ͺ The Pelicans are in a bit of a rut right now, but at least Trey Murphy III is giving it his all 😩. Can't wait to see how this winning streak plays out with the Clippers coming up! πŸ‘€

just saw that crazy game between minnesota timberwolves and new orleans pelicans lol julius randle is ON FIRE right now πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯ 28 points and 9 rebounds? that's some next level stuff. but you gotta feel bad for trey murphy III, he put up an impressive stat line, but it wasn't enough to lead his team to a win πŸ€• they're really struggling this season. anyway, the wolves are on fire now πŸ’₯ can't wait to see what happens when they play the clippers on saturday πŸ“Ί

awww man πŸ˜” that Pelicans team is goin thru some tough times right now πŸ€• gotta feel for em πŸ’” but on the bright side, Trey Murphy III's been doin his thang with 21 points and all that jazz πŸŽ‰ it's just one of those seasons where things aren't goin as planned 😞 guess they just need to regroup and get back on track πŸ’ͺ

Man... I remember watching Tim Duncan lead the Spurs to a comeback win against the Pelicans back in '04, and now we got these Timberwolves putting on a show 🀯! Julius Randle's performance was insane - 28 points and nine rebounds? That dude's a beast πŸ’ͺ. And you feel me when I say that Anthony Edwards' 44-point game last night seemed like a fluke, but he still brought it to the table tonight too... I guess consistency is key for these Wolves 🀞. They're on a roll now, and if they keep it up, they'll be in contention for those playoffs πŸ†.

omg i cant believe the timberwolves are killin it rn!! julius randle is straight fire πŸš€! 28 points and 9 rebounds in one game is like, insane!!! i feel bad for anthony edwards tho, he had a huge night last time out but just chillin tonight 😐. naz reid was on point tho, those 2 3-pointers were so clutch! 🎯 the pelicans are having a super tough season though πŸ€•, gotta get it together ASAP. the wolves are lookin good, cant wait to c how they do against the clippers this wknd!!!

lol what's up with Anthony Edwards last game? he goes off for 44 points one night and then gets held to 11? i think the coach was trying to cool him down or something, but really just hurt the team. naz reid killed it in that 2nd half tho, nice to see him step up and contribute. pelicans gotta figure out how to get their act together, 3-20 ain't cute. timberwolves on a roll though, gonna be fun to watch them take on clippers this weekend πŸ€―πŸ€

lol what's up with anthony edwards' game 2 night after a monster game 🀯 i feel like he's been stuck in a slump or something but naz reid and rudy gobert stepped up big time πŸ™Œ these wolves are looking good atm, gotta see how they handle the clippers though

I'm not sure how much I like these new-fangled NBA teams and their constant games. They're always traveling from city to city, playing in front of different crowds... it's just a bit too much for me πŸ˜’. And what's with all the stats and analytics? Can't they just enjoy a good ol' fashioned game anymore? I mean, I know the Timberwolves won, but did we really need to see every single point scored by Julius Randle? 28 points is impressive, I get it, but can't he just summarize his highlights like everyone else? πŸ€”

omg i'm so glad the timberwolves won this game it was such a close match but in the end julius randle's skills were just too much for the pelicans πŸ˜… i feel bad for anthony edwards though, he had that epic 44-point performance last night and now his team is struggling πŸ€” naz reid on the other hand seems like a total rockstar πŸ’ͺ with those 2 three-pointers and alley-oop dunk... what's not to love about him?! 😍

I'm loving how this young Timberwolves squad is killing it! I mean, that 15-0 run in the 4th quarter was INSANE. Naz Reid is straight fire right now πŸš€πŸ”₯. And you're right, Anthony Edwards' big game two nights ago was all about him going off on his own, but when everyone else shows up like that too, it's a whole different story. The Pelicans just can't seem to get anything going right now, and I'm not surprised. They need some serious lineup shakesup ASAP πŸ’ͺ🏽πŸ’₯

just watched that game πŸ€πŸ˜… and i gotta say, it's crazy how inconsistent anthony edwards can be. one night he's dropping 44 points, the next he's only scoring 11? what's going on with that kid? πŸ€” anyway, glad to see naz reid stepping up his game and helping the wolves secure that win! πŸ‘

think about it - these basketball teams, they're just like our lives, you know? they got ups and downs, wins and losses... sometimes we shine bright, scoring those 44 points 🌟 but other times, we're held back by our own limitations. julius randle's performance was incredible, but what about anthony edwards? why did he struggle in this game despite being on fire just two nights ago? maybe it's like how we get stuck in our own patterns, you know? we can't always replicate success, and sometimes we need to take a step back to recharge. the pelicans' struggles are also fascinating - they're trying to break out of their losing streak, but how often do we give up on ourselves when things aren't going well? πŸ€”

aww man that was such a nail-biting game!!! 🀯 i feel like julius randle is just having the best season ever πŸ’ͺ he's literally dominating on both ends of the court... and naaz reid's 3-pointers were everything 😍 i'm glad the wolves could bounce back from anthony edwards' tough game two nights ago πŸ™ they're really showing some resilience there. and ugh, the pelicans are just having a tough time right now πŸ˜” five losses in a row is no joke... but the clippers on saturday? that's gonna be a fun one πŸŽ‰
