TIMELINE: Atmospheric river to bring rain, potentially damaging winds to the Bay Area Wednesday

A powerful atmospheric river is set to bring rain and potentially damaging winds to the Bay Area on Wednesday morning. According to forecasters, the worst of the weather will hit between 5am-9am, with a High Wind Warning posted for coastal Marin and Sonoma counties where gusts could reach up to 60mph.

Residents in these areas can expect isolated power outages and downed trees, making travel hazardous during the morning commute. However, after 9am, the winds are expected to die down, and rain totals will be less than 0.75 inches for most of the area.

The Bay Area will also be under a Wind Advisory for gusts up to 45mph, with downpours making roads slippery and increasing the risk of spinouts. Despite this, rainfall totals are expected to be relatively low overall.

For those looking for real-time updates on the weather, live Doppler 7 tracking is available on the ABC7 News app.

πŸŒͺ️ I'm so done with these atmospheric rivers they're always causing chaos in the Bay Area! I mean, 60mph winds? That's wild 🀯. Can't we just get some consistent weather for once? Not that I'm complaining or anything πŸ˜’. But seriously, power outages and downed trees are a big deal, especially during rush hour when people need to get to work. Maybe the city should look into those traffic management systems they're always talking about πŸš—πŸ’¨. And can we please get some good news for once? Like, how's everyone else doing outside of these weather zones? πŸ‘€

Ugh, great not a good time to be commuting in Bay Area πŸš—πŸ˜¬. Atmospheric rivers can be super intense, even if it's only for a few hours. Hope everyone has a plan in place with those isolated power outages and downed trees... doesn't seem like they'll be having a great day on the roads πŸŒ³πŸ’¨

πŸŒ‚οΈ gotta feel bad for the Bay Area, been there done that with all the storms last year... think they're gonna get hit pretty hard this time out too 🀯 at least it's not as crazy as those NorCal storms from like 5 years ago πŸ˜… hopefully the power grid can handle it and we don't have too many tree-related accidents πŸŒ³πŸ’‘

Ugh man I'm so over these crazy storms in Cali πŸŒͺοΈπŸ’¦! Every time it rains, like, the news is all about how bad it's gonna be and when it's gonna hit... can't we just get some decent weather for once?! πŸ˜’ Anyway, I guess it's not all bad. The rain should help with the drought and stuff, so that's a plus πŸŒ±πŸ’¦

But seriously, 60mph winds? That's wild 🀯! I'm glad they're not predicting anything too crazy after 9am tho... I don't think my car could handle those gusts πŸ˜‚. And yeah, downed trees and power outages are no joke. Hopefully everyone stays safe and the commute isn't a total disaster πŸš—πŸ’¨

I'll def be checking that live Doppler 7 tracking on the ABC7 News app though... gotta stay informed πŸ“ΊπŸ‘€

omg i'm so over these norcal storms already they're like a never ending cycle of rain and wind ... remember when this happened like last year? i was planning to go hiking in mt tam and it got rained out lol what's up with the forecasters always being like 2 days late huh? anyway, at least it's not as bad as that one time it snowed in sf... can't even imagine trying to commute on icy roads

Ugh, just what we need... another crazy morning in the Bay Area πŸŒͺοΈπŸ’¦! I mean, 60mph winds? That's wild! Can't say I blame anyone for getting a little anxious about those isolated power outages and downed trees 😬. I was thinking of taking my little one to the park today, but now I'm not so sure... will it be all muddy and slippery by then? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ On the bright side, at least the rain is expected to die down after 9am, so fingers crossed that'll make for a slightly more manageable commute πŸš—πŸ’¨. And yay, live Doppler 7 tracking - can't wait to see those storm updates roll in! πŸ’»

OH MAN, I HOPE EVERYONE IS PREPARED FOR THIS STORM!!! I MEAN, I GET THAT WE NEED RAIN AND ALL, BUT COME ON, 60MPH WINDS?! THAT'S CRAZY! πŸŒͺοΈπŸ’¨ ANYWAY, I FEEL BAD FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE IN MARIN AND SONOMA COUNTIES WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE A TERRIBLE MORNING. POWER OUTAGES AND DOWNED TREES? YEAH, NO THANKS. BUT AT LEAST THE WINDS WILL DIE DOWN AFTER 9AM, RIGHT? Fingers crossed that everyone stays safe out there! 🀞

Ugh, can't believe I have to deal with downed trees and power outages because of this stupid forum's slow loading time πŸ™„... anyway, back to the news... a powerful atmospheric river is gonna make life miserable for people in the Bay Area on Wednesday morning ☁️. 60mph winds? That's crazy! And isolated power outages are just what we need, right? πŸ˜’ At least it'll die down by 9am, I guess. But still, gotta love the Wind Advisory... like, who needs that much excitement in their lives? 😴 Guess I'll be hunkered down with a cuppa while the storm rages on outside πŸ’‘.

πŸŒͺ️ Ugh, another storm coming our way! I'm not a fan of driving during the morning rush hour, especially when there's a chance of power outages and downed trees 🀯. The thought of those strong gusts and rain making roads slippery is super concerning for me. How do we even prepare for this? Do they have any emergency services in place just in case? πŸ€” I hope everyone stays safe and warm until the storm passes! ⚠️

Ugh, just what we need - another storm to deal with πŸŒͺ️! I'm actually in Marin County right now and I can already see the trees swaying in the wind 😬. I hope everyone stays safe out there and doesn't get caught off guard by those strong gusts πŸ’¨. My friend's daughter lives in Sausalito and she was telling me about how windy it gets on the waterfront 🌊. I'm a bit worried about power outages too, especially since we're still recovering from that last wildfire πŸ”₯. Hopefully the rain isn't too heavy and everything stays dry for most of us πŸ™.

Ugh, another storm coming our way πŸŒͺ️! I hate driving in the rain, but I guess it's not like we haven't seen this before... Like, every other year or so? Anyway, gotta make sure my windshield wipers are ready and stock up on some coffee for the morning commute πŸ˜’. Can't believe they're calling out coastal Marin and Sonoma counties - that's just a fancy way of saying "freakin' windy" 🌬️! Hope everyone stays safe and dry... or at least, as dry as it gets when it's pouring πŸ’§.

omg, a stormy morning ahead 🌧️😬, sounds like the perfect excuse to stay in bed and binge-watch Netflix all day... or just enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee β˜•οΈ while the rain pours outside. 60mph winds? that's like my aunt yelling at me to clean my room 🀣, gotta love it! power outages and downed trees? yeah, because nothing says 'fun' like darkness and a tree on your car roof πŸŒ³πŸ˜‚. hope everyone stays safe and dry out there πŸ’¦πŸ‘

πŸŒͺ️ ugh, just thinkin bout that storm on Wed morn and my anxiety is thru the roof... like, isn't it wild how we're supposed to be all about progress & innovation but still got these ancient systems in place that can literally take down trees? 🀯 power outages and whatnot are so last century. shouldn't our infrastructure be able to withstand a little wind? 🌬️ anyway, just hope everyone stays safe out there...

ugh these storms are so unpredictable πŸŒͺ️😬 i just hope everyone in the bay area stays safe and indoors during this morning commute β°πŸ’¨ at least the worst of it will be over by lunchtime, right? 🀞 and yeah, 0.75 inches might not sound like a lot, but you never know how these strong winds can cause damage to trees and power lines πŸ’‘πŸŒ³ i just want people to prioritize their safety and stay informed through those live updates πŸ“±πŸ’»

Ugh, great, just what I needed, a reason to hate mornings πŸ™„. So, atmospheric rivers are like the ultimate mood killer. One minute it's sunny and calm, the next you're dodging flying debris and praying your commute doesn't turn into a zombie apocalypse. 60mph gusts? Yeah, that's just peachy. And don't even get me started on the rain... .75 inches or whatever, who's counting? I'll just be over here, enjoying the thrill of possibly getting stuck in a downpour for an extra hour because my umbrella decided to take a hike β›ˆοΈ.
