A powerful atmospheric river is set to bring rain and potentially damaging winds to the Bay Area on Wednesday morning. According to forecasters, the worst of the weather will hit between 5am-9am, with a High Wind Warning posted for coastal Marin and Sonoma counties where gusts could reach up to 60mph.
Residents in these areas can expect isolated power outages and downed trees, making travel hazardous during the morning commute. However, after 9am, the winds are expected to die down, and rain totals will be less than 0.75 inches for most of the area.
The Bay Area will also be under a Wind Advisory for gusts up to 45mph, with downpours making roads slippery and increasing the risk of spinouts. Despite this, rainfall totals are expected to be relatively low overall.

I'm so done with these atmospheric rivers they're always causing chaos in the Bay Area! I mean, 60mph winds? That's wild 
. Can't we just get some consistent weather for once? Not that I'm complaining or anything 
. But seriously, power outages and downed trees are a big deal, especially during rush hour when people need to get to work. Maybe the city should look into those traffic management systems they're always talking about
