Todd Monken expected to join John Harbaugh’s Giants staff in Jaxson Dart boost

Giants' Coaching Staff Shaping Up with John Harbaugh at the Helm

John Harbaugh's appointment as head coach of the New York Giants has sent shockwaves through the NFL coaching circles. The five-year deal brings stability to the franchise after years of mediocrity, and now attention is shifting to who will join him in his new role.

While the hiring of a top-tier quarterback like Jaxson Dart is crucial, Harbaugh's next move as coach could spell good news for Dart's development. Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh's track record suggests that he'll be keen on replicating the success he enjoyed with Todd Monken during his tenure in Baltimore.

Monken, a highly sought-after candidate, has worked with some of the most talented quarterbacks in the league, including Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield. His relationship with Harbaugh dates back to 2019, when Monken was part of the Ravens' staff as offensive coordinator. The partnership yielded impressive results, with Jackson enjoying a breakout season.

However, after three years together, their working relationship soured, with Monken taking responsibility for not getting the best out of Jackson's physical brilliance and medical issues. In recent interviews, Monken has acknowledged that he didn't do enough to help his quarterbacks succeed.

The Giants' new coaching staff is shaping up as a strong unit, but there are concerns about adhering to NFL regulations. As part of the Rooney Rule, Harbaugh will need to interview at least two minority or female candidates from outside the organization before making a decision on Monken's role.

Monken himself has been making waves in recent weeks, interviewing for the Buccaneers' offensive coordinator job and openly expressing his admiration for Harbaugh as a coach. His candid remarks about Lamar Jackson suggest that he understands the importance of building strong relationships with quarterbacks and developing them to their full potential.

In light of this, it seems increasingly likely that Monken will be joining Harbaugh in New York. The two have a proven track record of success together, with impressive results during their time at Baltimore.

🤔 I'm not sure about this new coaching staff thingy... Like, isn't it supposed to help the players become better? 🏈💪 And what's up with all these rules they have to follow? It sounds like a lot of work just to be able to coach. 🙄 Also, I don't know if hiring a guy who used to work for another team is going to make a huge difference... Can someone explain to me why Monken would want to go back to working with Harbaugh after they had some issues in the past? 🤷‍♂️

dude im telling u something fishy is going on here monken's just jumping into the giants' coaching staff like nothing happened between him and harbaugh back in baltimore i mean yeah they had some ups and downs but it looks like monken's just ready to ride or die with harbaugh again 🤑 but what about the rooney rule tho? seems like harbaugh's gonna have to put on a show to get past that part 👀 gotta wonder if there's more to this story than meets the eye 💭

🤔 This is gonna sound crazy but I think the Giants are gonna stick with Todd Monken as OC despite the Rooney Rule 🙅‍♂️. Harbaugh and Monken's partnership was fire 🔥 and I'm not convinced that Monken needs to prove himself again. Plus, Harbaugh already trusts him enough to make him his top OC pick in the first place 😎. The Giants need stability on offense and if Monken can deliver like he did with Lamar Jackson 🤯, then I say let's roll with it 👍

🤔 so i gotta say, harbaugh's appointment as giants coach feels like a solid move, but what really gets me is monken joining him... it's like they're a dynamic duo from the ravens days 📈💪 and with dart under his belt, maybe they can finally get that elusive super bowl win 🏆 for new york

I'm thinking the Giants need more than just a top-tier QB like Jaxson Dart to turn things around... they need a solid O-coord too 🤔. Monken's got some great experience working with talented QBs, but he had a rough patch with Lamar Jackson and didn't help him reach his full potential 😐. Can he do better this time around? If Harbaugh brings him on board, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out ⚖️

OMG 🤯 just heard about John Harbaugh's new gig as Giants coach 😮 I'm low-key hoping Jaxson Dart gets his act together 👊 because Monken is a total QB whisperer 🗣️! He knows how to bring out the best in guys like Lamar Jackson 💪. The fact that he's been interviewing for other jobs shows he's not afraid of a challenge 🔥 and I'm all about it 😎. If Harbaugh brings Monken on board, watch out NFL 👀🏈
