Tom Brady fires off savage remark before Packers–Lions game

Tom Brady left no doubt who's the greatest quarterback of all time with a scathing remark during a pre-game show for the Packers-Lions game on Fox. When asked to revisit a segment from earlier in the season where he threw passes to kids, Brady responded by firing off a laser-like pass at an 8-year-old fan, then smirked when told they didn't catch it.

The exchange was met with groans and laughter from Brady's colleagues, but fans were loving every minute of it. "You don't get to be the GOAT if you don't expect the best from your receivers," one Twitter user wrote in response. Another fan chimed in, saying Brady is "savage Tom" who needs to teach the young kids a thing or two about football.

The remark has been likened to some of the savage jokes Brady faced on Netflix's "Man in the Arena", where comedians took aim at the legendary quarterback. However, it seems Brady still hasn't gotten used to being roasted - and his laser passes are just as sharp as ever.

After wrapping up his pre-game football lessons, Brady headed into the booth alongside Kevin Burkhardt to call the highly anticipated matchup between the Packers and Lions on Thanksgiving.

brady's got some nerve 🤔, firing off those lasers at an 8-yr-old fan... i mean, i get why he was just trying to have a bit of fun, but that kid didn't even stand a chance 😂. but at the same time, it's not really cool that Brady is using his platform like that - it's like, yeah, you're the GOAT, but don't crush the hopes of some wide-eyed kid in the stands 🙄. and can we talk about how ridiculous those commentary booths are? i mean, can't they just focus on calling the game instead of getting caught up in Brady's antics? 😅

😂👀 I gotta say, Tom Brady is still bringing the heat 🤯! His reactions to that young fan trying to catch a pass were HILARIOUS 😂. I mean, can you blame him for expecting a little more from his receivers? It's like when your friend tries to rap and you're just sitting there thinking "girl, bye" 💁‍♀️. Anyway, love how Brady is owning the GOAT title and not letting anyone bring him down 🏆💪. Bring on the roast and he'll take it with a smile 😊!

omg can u believe that tom brady still got savage mode going 🤣 i mean yeah he's a legend but come on it's just a game lol but for real though his accuracy is insane 🔥 like who else could make a kid miss an 8 yr old and then smize 😏 anyway it was def a funny moment during the pre-game show and i'm loving the reactions from fans 🤣 can't wait to see how the rest of the game plays out 💥

Ugh, I'm so over these pre-game shows 🙄. Can't they just get straight to it? Tom Brady's whole 'teaching kids a thing or two' thing was just awkward, you know? Like, yeah, he threw a pass that didn't even get caught but still... 😳

And can we talk about how Fox is milking this for all it's worth? The whole segment felt like a setup for some clickbait headline 📰. "Savage Tom" this and "GOAT" that... give me a break. It's just a game, people! 🏈

I'm not even sure why we care about what Brady has to say anymore. I mean, he's been saying the same stuff for years. Like, did we miss something? 😒 Oh wait, he threw a hard pass at an 8-year-old... yeah that's still savage 💪. Next thing you know they'll be selling Tom Brady t-shirts with a quote about "teaching kids to throw" 🛍️.

omg u guyz did u see that tho? like toms been throwing shade left and right lol he literally needs to teach those kids a thing or two about football & then smirks when they don't catch it i mean i got nothing but love for the G.O.A.T but what if one of those kids is, like, actually talented??😂🏈 anyways gotta give it to him tho, he's still got that laser pass game strong 🔄💨 and btw who else can say they roasted kids on live tv 🤣📺

omg i love tom brady so much 🤩 he's still got that competitive fire in him and isn't afraid to show off his skills (or tease some kids 😉) anyone saying he's not the GOAT just don't get it, the guy's a 7x super bowl champ for crying out loud! 😂 i mean, yeah, maybe those passes might have gone a bit over the heads of some 8-year-olds, but that just shows how hard he's pushing them to be their best. savage tom indeed 🤪

OMG this is so cringeworthy 🤦‍♂️ I get that Tom Brady's a legend and all, but seriously who throws a laser pass at an 8-year-old fan? That was just mean 😒 like what if they actually tried to catch it? And now I'm expecting some epic diss tracks from the kids' parents about how their mini-mes are being disrespected by Tom Brady's "savage" ways 🤣. Can we please have a highlight reel of some actual football plays instead of this cringeworthy pre-game show? 😂

idk what's more cringeworthy, brady trying to give those kids a lesson in football or him thinking he's still got that old-school quarterback swag lol, meanwhile the kids are probably just standing there with their eyes glued to his face like deer in headlights 🤣, seriously tho, the kid who got hit by the ball should get some compensation, and brady needs to work on being a bit more considerate, idk if he's still got that 8-year-old mentality 🤑.

omg did u see that?? lol i dont get why ppl r saying he's mean tho, like its just a joke, he didnt even laugh or anything he jus kept smirkin, kinda cool tbh 🤣 i mean whoever throws passes to kids in the first place? sounds pretty lame to me. brady seems super confident tho, that laser pass was insane! did anyone else think it wud catch on fire or somethin?

omg brady's got some serious sass 💁‍♂️! like, i get it he wants to be taken seriously as the greatest of all time, but that kid was just trying to participate in a fun little segment 🤣... and brady still goes full-on 'laser pass mode' 💨😂. gotta admit, though, if you're gonna do it, DO IT RIGHT 🔥. and those fans who are loving every minute of this are probs just as invested in the game as brady is 🤯. maybe he's finally figured out that being a legend means you've got to be ready for some good-natured roasting 😂👏

I'm loving this new side of Tom Brady 🤣! Who needs scripted segments when you can just own the mic and fire off some laser passes 😂? The fact that fans are digging his sassy comebacks says a lot about how much respect he's built up over the years. And let's be real, 8-year-old kids probably needed to see those throws just as much as the adults watching! 🤣 It's all part of being the GOAT, right? Brady's always been known for his competitive edge, but this is just another example of him bringing that fire to the table 🔥. Can't wait to see what else he does on and off the field this season 💪

omg yaaas brady is lowkey savage 🤣 i mean what even is this? he's basically saying that if you wanna be the best QB, u gotta bring ur A-game... or in his case, a laser beam to 8 year olds lol idk about the fans tho, some ppl r like "omg why would u do that?" but others are just eating it up 🤪 i feel brady tho, he's been in this game for ages and he knows what works and what doesn't, might as well give those kids a taste of what it's like to be on the field 💨

I gotta say, that was kinda awesome 😂. I mean, Tom Brady is known for being a perfectionist, but throwing laser passes at 8-year-old fans? That's some next-level trash talk right there 🔥. I'm loving how his teammates were all like "girl, bye" to his jokes, but the fans were totally here for it 🤣. I think what I love most about this is that Tom Brady isn't afraid to be himself and poke fun at himself a bit, you know? He's still got that competitive fire burning bright 🔪. It's like he's saying, "if you want to call me the GOAT, then act like it 😏."

😂🏈 Tom Brady's sassiness is back and it's serving looks! I gotta admit, that 8-year-old fan got roasted 🤣. It's hilarious how he just smirked after throwing that laser pass - like, bruh, you know they're gonna miss 😂. And yeah, the GOAT comment has some merit... if you're gonna be the best, you gotta push your receivers to be better too 💪. But what really gets me is how Tom's still not taking himself too seriously 🤷‍♂️. He knows he's getting roasted on social media, but that just fuels his fire 🔥. Can't wait to see if the Packers and Lions put on a show for us tonight ⚡️!

I'm so cringey uncomfortable with Tom Brady's behavior towards that little kid 😳! I mean, yeah, he's a super star athlete and all, but doesn't he think that 8-year-old fan was just happy to have a chance to meet him? 🤔 I don't get why he had to go and throw a laser beam at them. It's just not cool, you know? 😒 And those other comments from his fans are kinda shady too... like, yeah Tom is good at football, but that doesn't mean we have to be harsh on kids! 🙅‍♀️

I think Tom Brady's display of competitive fire was spot on 🤯. The notion that he needs to 'teach' young kids a thing or two about football is a truism, really - in order to be considered among the best, one has to be willing to push boundaries and challenge oneself. And let's be real, Brady's laser-like pass was just a masterclass demonstration of his exceptional accuracy and skill.

But what I find most fascinating is how this remark humanizes Brady, rendering him more relatable and endearing to fans. It's almost as if he's shedding the 'GOAT' mantle and revealing a more human side - someone who isn't afraid to poke fun at himself or others in pursuit of greatness.

omg i'm dead this is so savage from brady lol he's still got it in him even if he is a bit of an old-school alpha dude 😂🏈 i mean who else can roast kids and get away with it 🤣 his fans love him for that kinda attitude, but also some ppl are like brady needs to chill and not be so extra 💁‍♂️ still tho it's hard to deny the guy's a genius on the field 👍

I'm kinda torn about Tom Brady's post-game antics 🤔. On one hand, it's dope that he's still got that competitive edge & is willing to push his teammates' buttons – it shows he cares. But at the same time, firing a laser pass at an 8-year-old fan can be seen as pretty uncalled for 😬. I mean, who needs a pre-game show when you're just gonna humiliate some kid on live TV? It's like, if you're gonna do that kind of thing, you should own up to it & make fun of yourself too. Just saying. 🙃

I'm telling ya, Tom Brady's still got some tricks up his sleeve 🤯! That laser pass he fired at that 8-year-old fan was straight fire 🔥! I mean, who else can say they're roasting a young kid in front of millions and still get love from the fans? 😂 It's like he's trying to prove something - that he's still got it and won't back down. And let's be real, if you're gonna claim to be the GOAT, you gotta keep it sharp 💪! The Packers-Lions game is looking good, but Brady just threw some shade 🌅... I wonder what other surprises he has up his sleeve?
