Trump Says Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘Went Bad’ As She Resigns Amid Feud

US President Donald Trump has dismissed Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, after her surprise resignation from Congress. According to the former president's Truth Social post, Greene would have no chance of winning an election without his endorsement and decided to step down due to plummeting poll numbers.

Trump attributed Greene's decision to resign to her inability to withstand the "plummeting" public opinion against her, rather than any issue with his own support. He claimed that she had been "refused a never-ending barrage of phone calls," which he believed would have boosted her chances in an upcoming primary election.

Despite their recent feud, Trump expressed appreciation for Greene's service and said the resignation is "great news for the country." However, his comments took on a more acidic tone when referring to Greene as "Marjorie Traitor Greene" - a characterization that she accused him of using to intimidate other Republicans from speaking out against her.

Greene had announced her intention to leave Congress due to concerns about being smeared by Trump in order to quash opposition to releasing sensitive documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. She stated, "Loyalty should be a two-way street, and we should be able to vote our conscience."

The resignation comes on the heels of Trump's decision last week to disavow Greene following a heated exchange that centered on her support for releasing Epstein-related files. The dispute had escalated into public attacks from Trump, who accused Greene of being "disgrace" to the Republican Party.

Greene responded by accusing Trump of attacking her and spreading false information in an attempt to intimidate other Republicans from speaking out against his actions.

Come on, folks! 🤦‍♂️ If Trump's own endorsement is what's holding Greene back from winning elections now, then that just means he wasn't as invested in her cause after all. And let's not forget, she basically said she'd leave Congress because of the drama between them. Now, I get that Greene didn't handle herself well during their feud, but does that really mean Trump was justified in calling her out? 🙅‍♂️ Newsflash: releasing Epstein-related files doesn't make you a hero, and trying to silence critics with vicious tweets is not leadership material. And what's up with "Marjorie Traitor Greene"? That's some serious shade right there 👀

Wow 😮, I'm shocked she finally took a stand! She's been getting roasted by Trump on Truth Social for months now. Interesting 💬 how Trump changed his tune and claimed he was the reason she stepped down 🤔. Greene's loyalty comment really hit home - it's not just about being loyal to a party or person, but standing up for what's right 🙏.

🤔 Trump's actions are like a game of chess - he sacrifices one pawn (Greene) to gain control over the board. Newsflash, Donald: loyalty isn't something that can be bought or sold with endorsement tweets 🤑. Greene might have taken the easy way out, but it shows others that your bullying tactics won't keep them silent 🔇.

omg what's goin on with trump now? he keeps dissing rep marjorie taylor greene like a week ago they were feuding but now its all good apparently Greene said she needed to step down cuz trump was attackin her reputation and tryna silence other republicans from speakin out about him releasin Epstein files news is that gonna happen?? 📰👀

🤔 so trump is saying marjorie wasnt smart enough to handle all the hate he was throwing at her but really hes just trying to cover his own butt 🙄, i mean come on if she was really that fragile why did she even resign? 🤷‍♀️ it smells like trump got owned by one of his own and now hes trying to spin it as marjorie being too weak... newsflash trump: you cant just dismiss people from congress because theyre not on your good side, thats what the system is for 👎

man I'm thinking what's the real reason Marjorie Taylor Greene stepped down? is it really just about Trumps endorsement or is there more to it than that? 🤔
I mean, she did say something about being smeared by Trump in order to quash opposition on those Epstein documents, but that seemed like a pretty big deal to me. what if she was trying to cover up some shady stuff herself?
and another thing, why is Trump suddenly expressing appreciation for her service after they were just at each other's throats? does he think we're all blind or something? 🙄
and can we talk about the fact that he still called her "Marjorie Traitor Greene" even after she resigned? that's just classy, trump. 👎

🤷‍♂️ idk what's more disturbing - that trump is trying to silence ppl like marjorie taylor greene or that he thinks he can just diss someone and they'll just magically bounce back lol 😂 the thing is, if you're gonna bring up epstein, at least have the decency to admit you made a mistake instead of trying to gaslight everyone 🙄

Ugh I'm so done with politicians like Marjorie Taylor Greene & Donald Trump 🤯 They think they're above the law just 'cause they've got power, but it's literally a 2-way street - you gotta be able to speak up when you see something shady going down. And honestly, Trump's response to her resignation was so petty, calling her "Traitor Greene" like that 🙄 It's not exactly inspiring confidence in his leadership, if you ask me. At least she stood up for what she believed in & took the hit, whereas Trump just tries to bully people into keeping quiet 👎

omg can you believe trump's response? 🙄 like he thinks he's above all this drama, but newsflash don't be a politician if you cant handle the heat! 💦 and btw i totally get why marjorie resigned, if trump is going to use his platform to smear ppl into silence then yeah that's a dealbreaker for me too. 🚫 i mean loyalty is supposed to be a two-way street right? 😒

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing 🤯. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congresswoman who had already been under a lot of scrutiny for some of her views... and now she's just up and quitting? It's like, what's the end goal here? Is it really about winning an election or is it more about not wanting to deal with all the backlash?

And Trump's comments about her are wild 🤣. Calling her "Marjorie Traitor Greene"? That's some low-key shade right there. I get that he wants control, but does he have to go out of his way to diss someone? It's like he thinks she's just going to roll over and do what he says... which is basically the opposite of what politics is all about.

I think it's interesting that Greene brought up loyalty being a two-way street. That's a good point, especially since Trump was trying to use his influence to silence her on some stuff. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out in the future... will there even be a primary election without Trump's endorsement? 🤔

aww, poor marjorie 🤕 she went through so much already with trump's constant attacks 😡 and now this 👀 like she had no choice but to step down due to the way he was treating her... all because she wanted to vote her conscience 💁‍♀️ i think it's sad that loyalty has to be a one-way street in politics 🤝 we should be able to speak out without being bullied or attacked 🗣️ anyway, hope marjorie finds some peace and calm after this drama 💆‍♀️

I'm glad she's finally stepping down... I mean, good riddance, right? 😒 But seriously, what was she thinking agreeing to a feud with Trump like that? You'd think she'd have some spine or something. 🤦‍♀️ And now he's trying to spin this as "great news for the country"? Please, he's just covering his own behind. The fact is, he played her and used her as a pawn in one of his ego trips. 👀 Trump's always been all about himself, not about serving the people or doing what's best for the country... and now it seems like everyone else has caught on too 🙄

omg what a wild turn of events 🤯 i mean marjorie taylor greene just stepped down from congress after trump basically told her she couldn't win without his endorsement lol the thing is though why does he have to be so extra about it? like yeah she's got low poll numbers but can't he just let her slide without dissing her on social media 📱 and btw what's with all these phone calls she wasn't getting? sounds fishy to me 🐟
