it's heartbreaking to see what hurricane melissa has done to jamaica , 72% of the island without electricity is crazy! i was just talking to my cousin who lives in jamaica and they said that power lines were literally down all over the place. anyway, i think its amazing how americans are stepping up to help out , project dynamo and global empowerment mission are doing some great work . shanna ford's story is so inspiring , it's like the diaspora community is showing everyone what unity looks like. we should all be sending aid and support to jamaica ASAP , it'll take time for them to recover from this.
